Hmm... I wonder if those new Russia sanctions will anger Moscow?

F them... We should just nuke those red b*turds for hacking our voting machines and making Drumpf our president.

They other is boating which I'd also do if I were president.
I can't imagine spending time on the golf course as President. It would be a great chance to ride one's bike, or spending time sailing or skiing.

OTOH, you have four to eight years at the job, you don't need to spend it recreating. Work hard and do a good job, and recreate afterwards.

Don't be dim. I would seek a good work/life balance. The life side of it would include regular golf and boating.

        • Trumps golfing excursions would be fine if he hadn't criticized Obama for doing the exact same thing.

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

In the absence of a time-critical crisis, I don't have a problem with any President teeing it up or engaging in whatever activity he enjoys--I'm certain the job is always on his mind and he has ready access to aides and information if the need arises. Indeed, having Trump away from the White House is probably good for the country, and I suspect General Kelly doesn't have a problem with it. "Another golf outing? Great! Leave your cell phone on the counter and scoot!"

And if he didn't fly halfway across the US to do so.

Golf doesn't count as exercise, but I disagree. There are times when you don't balance, grad school, mission and if you're POTUS. You devote and are all in. No way, I'd focus upon a balanced life. I'd still get some exercise in, but you wouldn't want to promote elite and dancing and letting the hoi polloi eating cake.

This is my problem. At least Obama was going to Andrews most of the time. That's miniscule cost wise compared to what Trump is doing. I know cost for security and travel for the president isn't a blip on the federal budget radar even if the president goes hog wild, but I think it is poor form to live it up. Especially when you campaign as a populist who is going to drain the swamp.

                    • I would be fine if Trump golfed every day for the next 3.5 years and let Pence run the show.

Treating these bastards like royalty rubs me the wrong way. Let them work their arses off. Protect them while they're there and don't make them royalty.

                            • It's more of a commentary on the populace than on Trump or Obama, but it's amusing--dare I say ironic?--that gun industry sales flourished under Obama, and are faltering under Trump.
