"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
Not a single story on Drudge today about the shootings in Quebec. Interesting. Maybe it's not the type of news they care to cover. Maybe I'm just being cynical, but I'm relatively sure they'd be all over the story if the suspect were an Islamic terrorist. I understand why more mainstream sources for news are criticized, but that doesn't mean the "alternatives" give any better information. You have to be at least as skeptical of "alternative" sources that exist to only tell one side of a story.
I put Drudge in thE Hannity and Rush group. No objectivity
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

There aren't many reliable sources. That's why one must cross-source as much as possible. If one looks to RealClearPolitics, Drudge, BBC, Politico, WaPo, and Wall Street Journal, one can usually find some truth.
Looking to HuffPuff, Breitbart or Vox is a recipe for being deceived.

It looks like they have at least two articles linked...

"We are a nation of immigrants.. but we are a nation of laws"
"Our nation is rightly disturbed by the large numbers of illegal aliens entering our country...
Illegal immigrants take jobs from citizens or legal immigrants, they impose burdens on our taxpayers...
That is why we are doubling the number of border guards, deporting more illegal immigrants than ever before, cracking down on illegal hiring, barring benefits to illegal aliens, and we will do more to speed the deportation of illegal immigrants arrest for crimes...
It is wrong and ultimately self-defeating for a nation of immigrants to permit the kind of abuse of our immigration laws that has occurred in the last few years.. and we must do more to stop it."

I am guessing this racist SoB was a republican or dems have the long term memory of a fish.

Sen. Charles Schumer (N.Y.), the third ranking member of the Senate Democratic leadership, on Tuesday said it may be necessary to halt the resettlement of Syrian refugees in the United States.
[...]
Senate Democratic Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) said halting the program “is a simplistic reaction to a very complicated challenge.”
“Background checks need to be redoubled in terms of refugees but if we’re talking about threats to the United States, let’s put this in perspective,” he said.
Durbin noted that each year 70,000 refugees from around the world are resettled in the United States after two years of vetting while millions of foreign visitors enter the United States as visitors.
“Let us not just single out the refugees as the potential source of danger in the United States,” he said.
I am having a hell of time telling the difference between dems and republicans.

So were Jerry Brown and Joe Biden just fellating their republican counterparts when they tried to block the vietnam war refugees?... If so, the dems must be really good at this.
FLASHBACK: Democrats Tried To Block Thousands Of Vietnam War Refugees, Including Orphans
Despite today’s outrage over President Donald Trump’s refugee executive order, many liberals in 1975 were part of a chorus of big name Democrats who refused to accept any Vietnamese refugees when millions were trying to escape South Vietnam as it fell to the communists.
They even opposed orphans.
The group, led by California’s Gov. Jerry Brown, included such liberal luminaries as Delaware’s Democratic Sen. Joe Biden, former presidential “peace candidate” George McGovern, and New York Congresswoman Elizabeth Holtzman.
The Los Angeles Times reported Brown even attempted to prevent planes carrying Vietnamese refugees from landing at Travis Air Force Base outside San Francisco. About 500 people were arriving each day and eventually 131,000 arrived in the United States between 1975 and 1977.
All those snowflakes protesting at the california airports would most likely melt if they studied a little history of their current governor and recent vice president. Republicans and democrats are the same sh*t, different days.

Here is another history lesson for my Liberal friends... H.R. 6061 (109th): The Secure Fence Act of 2006:
On October 26, 2006, U.S. President George W. Bush signed the Secure Fence Act of 2006 (Pub.L. 109–367) into law stating, “This bill will help protect the American people. This bill will make our borders more secure. It is an important step toward immigration reform."
The bill was introduced on Sep. 13, 2006 by Peter T. King (R-NY). In the House of Representatives, the Fence Act passed 283 -138 on September 14, 2006. On September 29, 2006 – the Fence Act passed in the Senate 80 -19.

OMG! Senators Boxer, Feinstein, Biden, Clinton, Schumer, and even Barack F'n Obama all voted for it! What the hell?!? Same sh*t, different days.
I have to hand it to that Harry Reid, however. He voted against it.
