  • The thing is, in my expert political analysis, if you look at the universe of people who voted for Trump in 2024, they probably roughly fall into one of four groups when Trump does stuff like this:

    1. They feel it is egregious enough to make them change their voting behavior
    2. They don't like it, but it is still less offensive than voting for a Lib
    3. It really doesn't bother them
    4. They actively like it and cheer it on

In my years of looking at related data (CB, Facebook) I would say the groups break down as roughly:

    1. 2%
    2. 60%
    3. 20%
    4. 18%

A whole lot of people don't like it, but don't dislike it enough to change anything.

He's said all kinds of things about The Donald. The usual accusations of being a fascist, mentally unfit, and during COVID, a mass murderer. He's been quite critical. Almost sounds like some on here...

I appreciated Reiner's comments on Charlie Kirk's death.

          • When Charlie Kirk died, the right correctly called out a few folks on the left for saying horrible things about him in incredibly poor taste. Now here were with the POTUS posting something just as vile and deranged as the stuff that was said about Kirk. God help us.

Many were calling for those that said vile things to lose their jobs, which in some cases it seems they did. My guess is that those same people will not be calling for the pedophile in chief to lose his job.

              • I'm laughing at the allegation that saying Trump is mentally unfit to serve as President is false, let alone vile. In making such a "vile" declaration, Reiner is joined by multiple former Trump, Cabinet members, chiefs of staff, Nikki Haley, George Will and countless other conservative commentators.

In #2 above, is Lib short for Libertarian (capital L) or for Liberal or something else?

MAGA will use your statements of truth to cover the many sins of Trump.

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

So what are the vile things that Reiner said?

I meant it as Liberal though most MAGA people I know are also not fans of libertarians

I think you left out one common point in your statement. You had anyone on the left defend and even justify their words or opinions of Charlie Kirk after his assassination. Just like you have the right standing in position in defending or minimizing what Trump said.

And the world continues to turn and remain in this cycle of dysfunction until there is a worthy adult/leader worthy to step up and unify the country and stop letting the ultra left and right control the narrative.

Sorry, but you don't get to complain about the dysfunction, brock. You voted for this.
