Yikes. I made it to 1:48 before tapping out on that speech, but lasting that long took every ounce of willpower. I eventually just enjoyed watching his wife bob up and down on the sofa as a result of his exaggerated hand gestures.

Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

The hand gestures were the worst.
It was fun watching his wife begin as super excited and then slowly transform into someone who didn't understand what he was saying.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

The best hand gesture is at 1:11 where his hand gestures emphasize his desire to lift? up the rural areas of the country.“Every player dreams of being a Yankee, and if they don’t it’s because they never got the chance.” Aroldis Chapman

Yeah. Wasn't impresed with this intro. Give us a little background of yourself. I don't know Beto's story. I'm sure most people don't. All we know is that he lost to Ted Cruz.
All he does is goes on and on from one talking point to the next. No unique vision. Same old, same old. Blah. Blah. Blah.

I like him, but not so much his platform. But I’d vote for him over Trump, Cruz (already did), or most of the GOP front runners from 2016. I’d also prefer him over Warren, Harris or Sanders. I’d probably take Booker over Beto.Originally posted by frank ryan View PostI actually like Beto btw."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. Sounds good to me. We've tried the hateful version of grandpa Simpson. Let's go with a hip, positive young person.Originally posted by Northwestcoug View Post
Also, Trump threatens some of his supporters could turn dangerous if they get pissed off:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/opini...=.fddc31a9a992You know, the left plays a tougher game, it’s very funny. I actually think that the people on the right are tougher, but they don’t play it tougher. Okay? I can tell you I have the support of the police, the support of the military, the support of the Bikers for Trump — I have the tough people, but they don’t play it tough — until they go to a certain point, and then it would be very bad, very bad. But the left plays it cuter and tougher....
That's fascist-type talk. I'm sorry, but don't about your angelic hardcore supporters being maligned as deplorables and then boast about/threaten their propensity for violence and aggression.

It was a cry for help. I think she is being held against her will.Originally posted by creekster View PostBeto's wife is hilarious. She begins with that smile/grimace with gritted teeth, the good soldier, and her eyes dart furtively to her left toward someone off camera as if to say "Please, come save me."

Hillary Clinton really is the worst major political candidate of our lifetime. I think, absent her, Obama wouldn't have been won the nomination in 2008. Trump wouldn't have won in 2016. Bernie Sanders wouldn't be a credible contender for the Democrat nomination in 2016 and 2020.

Had Hillary Clinton not run in 2008, there is a good chance that John Edwards would have been the nominee (well most likely still Obama, but play along here). Had he been the nominee and assuming his scandal still breaks in July 2008, the election would have been quite the drama. A country that is sick of George W Bush and wants to punish the GOP whomever the nominee is vs. a disgraced husband who has been cheating on his dying wife and has a love child.Originally posted by YOhio View PostHillary Clinton really is the worst major political candidate of our lifetime.
