what corroborating evidence do you want of an alleged 30 year old sexual assault? by the way, i hope you are at least equally troubled by the gop senators who had predetermined their confirmation votes before the hearings, which to me is much worse than seeking the truth of sexual assault incidentally.

You mean the ones that delayed the confirmation vote for weeks to allow the Democrats to put on evidence (which never materialized or likely existed)?

what do you mean there was no evidence? there was testimony of the person making the allegation. whether you found that evidence persuasive (particularly in light of the other available evidence) or not is a different question.

I didn't want any, I like Kavanaugh! I think the folks who had their minds made up about Kavanaugh before the hearing were assuming that there would be no new evidence provided and that the testimony only of Blasey-Ford was not persuasive to them, which had been out in the public for sometime. But if it makes you feel better I do have even more serious discomfort with what I believe Brother Reid and Mitch McConnel have done to the Senate that no longer requires the consensus it once did.

However, I thought the Kavanaugh issue was a joke. Blasey-Ford makes an accusation that had no corroborating evidence. However, her testimony was taken as a gospel truth and trumped by enough folks, not because it was believable but because it was the strongest vehicle (as weak as it was) to their desired end state. Perhaps she was genuine but I don't believe many others were. I feel her allegations, due to the lack of corroborating evidence, should have gotten similar treatment to what Reade's allegations are getting.
