Beto raised more money than even the great Bernie Sanders in the first 24 hours after their announcement. Beto is for real, even if he enjoys standing on countertops, making incredibly rhetorical and meaningless speeches, and writing fetish poems under an alias.

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Plus you can't call someone who is over the hill "young" at all. You're not old yet, but you're sure as hell not young.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Sometimes I've heard people refer to me as a "young dad" even though I've never called myself that. But I don't look my age and I can kind of get it when people have said it. I feel like I do understand other parents who have similar aged kids. I know about things like two working parents and the costs of child care, etc. In her case, one of her two kids is 8. Does that literally make her a "young mom?" No, but if the issue is her relateability to other parents with young kids, I would think her economic situation compared to "normal" people is a bigger barrier to understanding everyday folks than is her age. This isn't a defense of her in the least. She's clearly just another vanity candidate who will probably disappear off the radar soon enough. I think her biggest and more important issue is going to be to explain the radical policy position shifts she's gone through over her political career.Agreed. Gillibrand is using that term as it pertains to the age of her children instead of her own age. BlueK and Gillibrand are not young parents, they are parents of young children. Big difference. Young parent carries with it a financial connotation that she is overlooking. Whether she's doing it intentionally or unintentionally, I can't say, though i'm torn as to which is worse from a politician.Originally posted by Moliere View PostYou aren’t a young dad and she’s not a young mom. you aren’t in the same position as young parents. I wish everyone who hates the crazy leftists would lay off the moderates like Schultz, Gildebrand, Klobucher, and O'Rourke. With Trump as president it's not going to get better than these four, and he's probably not going to win. He's not going to win unless one of the crazy leftists gets nominated. So I guess anyone attacking the moderates must be a disclosed or closet Trump fan. When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.

Elizabeth Warren Calls for Ending Electoral College
LOL... Doesn't Pocahontas know they already did this in Colorado?

Colorado Gov. Jared Polis (D) signed into law Friday a bill that would award the state’s Electoral College votes to the presidential candidate who wins the national popular vote.

It would be best if you didn't mention Schultz... Space Ghost doesn't care for him since he created that basketball team up in The 405. It makes him rather upset. (Maybe that makes him a closet Drumpf fanboy?)Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostI wish everyone who hates the crazy leftists would lay off the moderates like Schultz, Gildebrand, Klobucher, and O'Rourke. Also, we don't know if Schultz is running as a Democrat or a Republican or something in between. It doesn't matter to me, however, as long as he doesn't run as a member of the communist party (but maybe he would get John Brennan vote)."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.

What I learned from the Sonics thing is that Schultz is a better negotiator than Trump. But that's a low standard. So far, Trump hasn't shown us he's a very good negotiator.Originally posted by Uncle Ted View PostIt would be best if you didn't mention Schultz... That is probably true, but he has no chance at the nomination unless the dynamics within the Democrat party change significantly. He is too old and too white. Bernie overcomes his age and whiteness by sprinting farther to the left than any of his opponents and locking up the millenial and socialist vote. Kamala Harris has the most intersectional points so she may be able to challenge Bernie but she is not a great candidate.Originally posted by BlueK View PostBiden despite his age is still the one best positioned to beat Trump.
Biden will try to run in the moderate lane, but that lane doesn't exist in the current Democrat party. That was proved by the gutting of Schultz among other current events.
Can't ignore Beto's money and appeal in the suburbs (although that is more critical to the nominees general election success than actually securing the nomination) but I think he is a complete lightweight and will fade. Also I don't think the dem base will tolerate the line he is trying to walk between social justice warrior and pragmatic moderate.

Boom! Klobucher is our best hope. People upset that she yells at her staff. That's it? Hopeless, flailing pandering by Warren. She was hoping to run in the intersectional lane when Bernie continued to outflank her on the left. Her self-destructive DNA test and the emergence of Kamala Harris had completely blown up that route. She has no path to the nomination.Originally posted by Uncle Ted View Post
