The message needs to be that Trump’s negligence between Jan-March forced this situation. But going after him for wanting to restart the economy as fast as possible is tone deaf.

He wasn't vile for blabbing about opening the economy up by Easter, just moronic. That channel has many other fun ads on it though.

Agreed, a very odd ad. I bet most of those seniors would be happy to have the economy reopened in a prudent and judicial manner and there isn't much indication from the Feds that they'd open it any other way. I mean, it was Trump that extended the shut down recommendation to at least April 30 and I actually like his optimism and desire to start to reopen things gradually so as to protect the most vulnerable but also put people back to work.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Such a dumb ad. The quote they go with right before the label him "Monstrous" is "We don't want the cure to be worse than the disease?" That's a completely reasonable take that most people would agree with. They couldn't find anything worse that he's said than that?

He may. A short ad taking short sound bites out of context isn't exactly convincing though.

One wonders if the Biden camp can find any demented, stupid or contradictory statements by Trump. Seriously, you could string together just a small portion of such statements and the ad's length would make The Irishman seem like a short subject. I had hoped the 2016 campaign would be the nadir of political campaigns. 2020 will make that one seem lofty and high-minded.

Some people have a hard-on over the idea that liberals get hysterical in criticisms of Trump and he really isn't that bad. It's the edgy, faux superior take, but it's not backed up by reality.

2016 already proved Trump can say all kinds of strange shit and still win. People aren't voting in Trump because they like Trump, they are voting Trump because of reasons MM artfully explains here:

                  What will Biden counter with?
"Hi, I'm Joe Biden. Barack Obama and I kicked 5 million families out of their homes, while turning their homes over to the banks we just gave trillions of dollars to. I’d like the opportunity to do that again!"

Liberals get hysterical? I would have never guessed:

Crushed would imply that Trump flips a bunch of blue states. So which ones? The country is so polarized right now that a true landslide by either is very unlikely. It's not the 1980s. The only states that Clinton won that Trump would have any realistic chance of flipping are some small ones like NV, NH, and possibly MN with 10 EVs. It's going to be close either way.
