  • Russia says the occupied territories are under the protection of its nuclear arsenal. LOL. Ok, Vlad. If you've reached your Reuters limit, just open the link in an incognito tab.

Such bad foreign policy. Nobody believes this threat because, well, the UKs are attacking all over those occupied territories, and even into real Russian territory (Belgorod). So nobody will believe future threats, even if he really, really, really means it.
        Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

He could always triple-dog dare the West. If he does that, look out, there might be a quadruple-dog dare down the line!

          • So, there's a term I've seen used during this war, "weaponized autism" to describe the ability of some people, some claiming to be autistic, to geolocate places and feed that info to the Ukrainian military.
Here's a recent NIH link to an article about the use of the term and these professionals' conclusion about whether it's praising or derogatory: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/3594...d%20derogatory.

This morning, Telegram is abuzz over one of these specialists having geolocated a recent photograph of Igor Girkin to a gas station near Rostov, complete with the coordinates of: 47°17'46.9"N 39°15'28.7"E (Link here)

Girkin played a key role in the formation of the Donetsk People's Republic, the annexation of Crimea, and is now volunteering as a fighter against Ukraine. He's a wanted man, so much so that his mug is on a deck of playing cards:

Anyhow, Ukrainian intelligence intercepted/found this photo of him from the last 48 hours:
            igor girkin.JPG

You'll note that where he's standing can be seen in this street view: https://goo.gl/maps/HS8auDbeh1F9mYLi9

Someone was able to take that photo and locate it to that corner, like so:

            girkin side-by-side.jpg

I was hoping for one more photo showing ordnance being delivered to said location.

              • The Ukrainian government has created a firewood clearinghouse so that people can buy firewood from the closest providers, given the unending attacks on their energy infrastructure, and the coming first full winter of the war. It appears that this system will be rationed. They also will be providing wood for free to people in the oblasts at the front. https://zn.ua/ukr/ECONOMICS/v-ukraji...azin-drov.html

Believe me, I looked. There's often a delay in such things. It also might be more strategic (I'm just spitballing) to make him wary of the front (perhaps taking his volunteer unit off the line before an offensive). But, ultimately, Rostov is in Russia, and so far the Ukrainians have only attacked Belgorod in Russia.

                  • NSFL WARNING: VISIBLE CASUALTIES (INCLUDING PROBABLE DEATHS) IN ALL OF THESE VIDEOS! DO NOT WATCH IF THAT WILL AFFECT YOU NEGATIVELY!

Video after video after video of Ukrainian drones dropping grenades on top of Russian soldiers in trenches with NO COVER over their heads, sleeping in the open, not even taking brush and using it to obscure themselves from view from the air.

                    4. (this one is especially f-ed up...you watch both of them bleed to death in a couple of minutes). BE WARNED!
                    5. One of the grenades hits one soldier directly in the head, launching the poor bastard's helmet across the field like a toy.

Here's one I mentioned yesterday of a grenade hitting right next to a soldier's head as he descends from a tank he just finished repairing (yes, they waited for him to fix it):

                      • 15 minute video of a Ukrainian combined-arms offensive against Russian position near Kherson. If you turn on the CC you can read what's happening in English:
                        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8Byzl5kelc

This one is worth watching when you have the time. The coordination from the rear with drones as observers is pretty amazing. They can tell when the Russian infantry bugs out, when and where defensive artillery is shooting from, and this allows them to take their objective.

Those casualty numbers are insane if close to true.

Keep 'em coming. I don't have a lot to say but I don't get a lot of this type of info elsewhere.
