The media would have given it more play if it had been Trump winning. It's only 23 delegates, but this turns out to be the largest haul of delegates Rubio now has earned from any single primary so far. He was the only one to campaign there from what I have been able to gather. Even though it's not like winning a large state, he needed the delegates.

Well, I don't think we are exactly the Weimar. But I don't find it too hard to believe that a guy who has made a living picking the carcasses of gamblers in Atlantic City most of his life might have mob connections.

Trump is employing a lot of standard textbook fascist strategies. One particularly disturbing one to me is how he encourages violence at his rallies. Then some of his supporters with KKK connections joyfully tweet video of themselves participating in the roughing up of protesters. Trump stands at the podium egging it on. That's just un-American and Trump should be called out on it.

Intelligent isn't the same thing as not crazy. He might believe a healthy proportion of what he says. No one who isn't inside his head can really know that one way or the other. The problem is, as long as he's nothing more than a silly pop-culture sideshow it doesn't matter. But when he's running for president It kind of does matter now. Either way, I think it's irrational to vote for someone who says crazy shit only because you're sure he doesn't mean it.
