How terribly, terribly sad. Your frontrunners, Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, Donald Trump, Ted Cruz. The thought process for me is one of who would screw up this county the least. I am guessing Donald Trump, but to actually think I would consider voting for Hillary makes me ill. What if I was left with Bernie vs Ted. Canada isn't that cold, is it?

One of the more entertaining/horrible things is his spokesperson Katrina Pierson. She's makes Sarah Palin look wise and articulate. A few things. Her appearance on TV with a bullet necklace.



Then her twitter feed where she describes both Mitt Romney and President Obama as half-breeds and was very vocal about supporting Ted Cruz up until about six months ago.

Who said that? I said the system would trump (see what I did there?) his bizarre initiatives. The system is congress and the courts and agency inertia, not his idiotic spokesperson.

That said, this spokesperson woman is an embarrassment and does call into question what little Trump has said that isn't idiotic.

Great point. But what's funny is I don't think people realize how intentional they had to be about that. It's not like you can hop into a SCIF, access SIPRNET and then copy/paste over to NIPRNET and send an email to your bud Hillary. This had to involve retyping the information from one system to another or from screenshots taken with a cell phone camera. Since a lot of this was pre-Snowden controls may have been a little more loose than they are now, but the point is that these guys are real fuckers who don't take their clearance obligations seriously.

Canadian income taxes are pretty similar for middle and upper class incomes. It's the GST and PST that get you.

'71, Vancouver/Victoria areas are not very cold. Very much like Seattle or Portland. Almost anywhere else can make Rock Springs, WY or Ely, NV look balmy.

US income taxes are based on citizenship and not residency. So you get a double whammy of paying Canadian taxes and US taxes. There is a tax treaty, but I think it only covers up to $85000 or something like that.
