If Michael Bloomberg runs, does he get enough votes to.actually win states? How about states like New York, Connecticut and New Jersey?
The next question is if that's a possibility (I'm doubtful), does a conservative candidate also run if Trump gets the nomination, someone like Ted Cruz or something.

If Bernie gets the nomination, then Bloomberg might see an opening. Joe Lieberman won an independent Senate run in Connecticut when the Dems went off the deep end there a few years back.
Bloomberg is going to be more attractive to Democratic voters than GOP voters. I think it would take a fourth candidate with high name recognition for the House of Representatives scenario to play out. Bloomberg by himself could conceivably capture 2-3 states by himself, but all he would do in the other states is take votes away from Sanders/Hillary and allow Trump to win states like Ohio, Florida, Colorado, etc.Originally posted by Maximus View Post

Bloomberg capturing New York alone could knock Romney out. I actually think Romney could get Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, the Dakotas and maybe Arizona. They can only choose between the top 3 electoral vote getters. Romney would probably have to make a clean sweep of those states I mentioned to get past Bloomberg.
