Yay! A convert! Here's to converting the whole world."Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."
Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

Yeah, that makes you fit in with the whacko Repubs. Why can't you be a great dad and also be divorced?Originally posted by CardiacCoug View PostAnd maybe this makes me old school but if you cheat on and divorce the Mom then you don't get to be World's Greatest Dad. Smh
I've only watched one speech from a convention in my entire life and it was when Mitt spoke 4 years ago. I don't plan on watching any other speech unless another Mormon gets nominated.Originally posted by BlueK View PostI refuse to watch any of either party's convention this cycle. It's certainly not the divorce(s) that disqualify Drumpf as a great dad; it's the circumstances that led to the divorces, not to mention Drumpf boasting repeatedly about all the beautiful, married women he's slept with. I'll allow that divorce can make some men even better fathers, but the repeated breaking of marital vows and bragging about screwing the wives of others ought to remove one from contention for Father of the Year.Originally posted by Moliere View PostYeah, that makes you fit in with the whacko Repubs. That said, I think Drumpf kids did very well last night and they've impressed me. I'll give Ivana and Marla Maples some credit here.

An observation on politics. Pundits, supporters, et. al. will spin a situation to suit themselves. The saying, I am looking at this objectively, should be struck from our dialogue. It is like Lemon last night when he asked a Trump supporter why was Trump.....and the person answered "well Hillary" and Lemon cut him off and said we are talking about Trump not Hillary, stick to what we are talking about. A while later they were talking about Hillary and the guy said something and Lemon countered with, ya but Trump.
As far as Trump goes, he is a loudmouth man who has raised his kids well and credit to their moms too.
I could switch my vote to Hillary if you tell me from my perspective of the world, how Hillary would make things better than Trump. Not presentation, but results.
I am OK with this because I have no desire to change anyones opinion on here, but do I understand those on here supporting Hillary have no problem with how the Supreme Court is going to look in the future?

The problem with democracy is it devolves to considerations like this pablum. This is why the plagiarism scandal mattered. Conventions, particularly this one, are nothing if not superficial.Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostCount me in with CC. Trump hasn't "raised" his kids, you idiot. What he's done is buy them off. Your "credit to their moms too" comment is really offensive.Originally posted by byu71 View PostAn observation on politics. Yeah, the idea that Trump had anything to do with raising his kids (other than, perhaps, strict enforcement of no tobacco or alcohols use, and giving them millions of dollars) is laughable. Ivana's kids went to boarding schools and she was essentially the sole caregiver when they weren't away. Marla and Tiffany have both said many times that Marla was the only one who raised Tiffany. But yes, none of this would matter much to me if Trump had some strong policy plans and were a thoughtful, strong leader.Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostTrump hasn't "raised" his kids, you idiot. The person who has maybe been most entertaining and articulate in condemning Trump is Oxcoug, on social media. He's also admirably stalwart in his hatred of Trump. No rationalizing.Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostYeah, the idea that Trump had anything to do with raising his kids (other than, perhaps, strict enforcement of no tobacco or alcohols use, and giving them millions of dollars) is laughable.
