  • Trump is going to get killed. Hillary has more campaign money. A far better campaign structure and the media totally behind her. The Washington Post brags about having 20 reporters basically digging up dirt on Trump.

If Trump takes Senators and Congressmen and women down the toilet with him, God help us all with Hillary having a democrat congress.

I am planning four-to-eight years of public mourning.

I have been mourning these past sixteen years, so there is no reason to start enjoying our public insanity any time soon. We have the banality of millennials together the megalomania of Hillary. Retirement in Costa Rica is looking better every day. There will be simply nothing in terms of public policy that you and I agree with or are happy about.

IMO: The worst case scenario for america is trump winning. the worst case scenario for the republican party is trump being nominated and winning, and second worse is being nominated. He needs to be dumped.
I don't see a way the GOP can dump the trumpster before the convention. The best case scenario for this election is a chaotic electoral college result from a reasonable republican running as an independent, picking up a few states and throwing the whole thing into the house of reps. Extreme longshot, but the only chance for a good president at this point. Granted, an independent hasn't won a state since the 60s, but someone like a Mitt Romney would have an excellent shot at taking Utah, Idaho, and perhaps a couple of other western states. It might be just enough to ensure no one gets to 50%. If that happens, it's anyone's guess what the House would do.

You've been in mourning for the past 16 years? You've missed some good shit. The stock market is riding high, unemployment is at a record low, and the Utes always beat the Cougars! Good times.

I'm sure the threat of Mitt stealing Utah and Idaho has the democrats shaking in their Saks Fifth Avenue Boots.

yeah, it's quite possible hillary wins by such a landslide that there is no danger of not getting 50% of the electoral votes. But if it's close, a strong 3rd party run winning a couple of states could really screw things up both for her and trump.

              • I just took one of those "who do you side with quizzes" Trump 93%, Johnson 81%, Hillary 21%, Bernie 9%.

I have said this since the day Trump announced unlike the mass media, he is a major jackass. I agree with someone 93% and yet I am not sure I can vote for him???

A couple of years ago, before the 2016 election cycle, my spouse and I had an arranged meeting with another couple in a mall parking lot. We had purchased some home furnishings from them off Craigslist, they were preparing to move and we were refurbishing part of our home so it worked out. As we conversed, we realized we had a lot in common with the other couple, same age, similar demographic, etc. They were retiring early and I was somewhat jealous so I asked them how they managed to do this expecting their reply to be that they had started saving earlier or benefited from an inheritance. Their reply surprised me; they were relocating to Costa Rica. At first I thought they were joking. But they had been planning this for the past few years citing the direction of the country and the affordability of Costa Rica. And this was before Trump v Hillary.

Take it again tomorrow. Your percentage is sure to change. His policies change on a daily basis.

I honestly think that these early polls should not be trusted. Trump has already shown 'skill' enough to destroy the republican party (or allow the fringe to take it over. Whatever, it's finished). He has defied all predictions of his demise for a year now. I think in the end he will be too toxic to swing any of the important states red. But do not be surprised if conservative voter turnout increases, partly because of xenophobic fears and partly because of extreme Hillary hate. I think the election will be very close.

That is why, even if YO and others are right about her level of corruption, Hillary needs to win at all costs! Because given two terrible choices, a corrupt president is better than a dangerous one.

                          Hillary 2016!

Perhaps the difference this time is that back during the early primary period they were predicting his demise while he led the other republicans in the polls. Right now they're predicting his demise while Hillary's lead over him in the polls is growing.
