Yes, I think the Trump/Hitler comparison are absolutely legitimate. Now that doesn't mean that Trump and Hitler are anywhere near the same level of threat, but both promoted highly nationalistic, xenophobic, and authoritarian ideologies. Trump has all of the classic hallmarks of a fascist.

By the way, there are countless people making the Trump/Hitler-Mussolini connection. These are not crackpots, but rational, highly-educated, independent voices. Even Mike Godwin came out and stated that the comparisons are not unfounded. If you don't know who Mike Godwin is, you might want to bow out of the discussion now.

This motherf*cker straight up asserted he would force the military to commit war crimes. When this was brought to his attention he proceeded to double down on that shit. haha.....you throw a fit any time someone dares suggest that Trump or Hillary are no different by calling such talk crazy. But then you continue to make these Trump comparisons. And then what do you do after you engage in such hyperbole? You make an appeal to authority, which, correct me if I am wrong, you were recently all over SU for doing.

There are those of us who although we think trump is a con artist, egotist to the higherst degree and superb showman, think the stretch to comparing him to Hitlert is an emotional reach. Calling him a con artist just isn't tough enough. Let's see, he is Hitler. It reminds me of the intelligent folks who were making assinine Obama comparisons. Let's see Hannity, Rush and Beck come to mind as those who made outlandish comparisons.
