But going back to Schr-ute's post, if Romney couldn't beat the worst president in the history of presidents, what makes anyone think that a late half-assed campaign by Romney will work this time?
I don't think a candidate's ability to campaign reflects ability to govern. Even if he was a terrible president, Obama's two campaigns were masterful. The real question is whether Romney could run a triumphant campaign- period, regardless of whom he's running against.

If the field was narrowed down to, say, Romney, Rubio, Bush and Kasich, you'd have a respectable field and I think every ounce of momentum would shift away from Hilary's camp.

Every time you see this bizarre crap from Trump, Carson, Cruz, etc. there's a nervous shift back to Hilary like, 'whaddaya got, again? Oh yeah- you're a mess, too.'

    • Ben Carson is saying 'No.' Refugees would change our country too much. Specifically New Hampshire.

I agree completely. I do think that the level of discussion would be elevated if Romney was running, mostly because he's not a clown. But I just don't think that Romney campaigns well.

It seems that both FoxNews and Ben Carson think Utah will change its mind.

I think the actual line was "I can see Russia from my house!"

Palin never said that. It was Tina Fey as Palin in an SNL skit.

                          • What she said was: "They're our next-door neighbors, and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska."

Maybe not quite as dumb as Fey's line, but in terms of its import for foreign policy it's pretty darn close.
                            PLesa excuse the tpyos.

Neither do the loons of the GOP. They simply are entertaining everybody longer.
