Awesome! Maybe he should be holding a "Mitt 2012" sign?"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

And a Book of Mormon. That would be great!Originally posted by Moliere View PostAwesome! Maybe he should be holding a "Mitt 2012" sign?Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Romney must come clean on his Mormonism...
http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news...-1226242050423
Persecuted and harassed, Smith's growing band of Mormon followers headed west, first to Ohio and Missouri, then on to Illinois. In 1844, Smith announced his candidacy for the US presidency, running as an independent. He was accused of trying to set himself up as a religious king, arrested, jailed, and then killed by a mob of 200 armed men, their faces painted black with wet gunpowder. So the first Mormon presidential campaign was not a success."I think it was King Benjamin who said 'you sorry ass shitbags who have no skills that the market values also have an obligation to have the attitude that if one day you do in fact win the PowerBall Lottery that you will then impart of your substance to those without.'"

John Bolton endorses Mitt on FOX.
This is a far more important endorsement, IMO, than ones like McCain, Bush and Dole. Bolton is viewed as a no-nonsense conservative and this will have some impact.Ute-ī sunt fīmī differtī

Sounds like he's joining Romney's team to advise on foreign policy. That's big. Romney must have promised him a cabinet position. Secretary of State?Originally posted by oxcoug View PostJohn Bolton endorses Mitt on FOX.

Forget these idiot pundits trying to prolong their relevancy. Just answer me a simple question. Has a candidate ever won Iowa and New Hampshire and lost the nominatoin? Has that ever happened? When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.

I'm wondering if we won't have an endorsement a day over the next week, driving home the message of inevitability.Originally posted by oxcoug View PostJohn Bolton endorses Mitt on FOX.

Demint in SC hasn't endorse Mitt, but he hasn't opposed and has even sounded suportive.
EDIT: from the same article:Asked about Perry's line, DeMint told Ingraham, "I don't like that at all because I was in business a long time as a consultant to a lot of businesses. Everyone knows that over half of new businesses fail and that's part of the process of failing and getting up and succeeding. And I really think that to have a few Republicans in this race beginning to talk about how bad it is to fire people, certainly we don't like that, but it really gives the Democrats a lot of fodder."
He added, "We need to understand the principles of our party."
One voter to publicly make up his mind Wednesday was Greenville Mayor Knox White, who endorsed Romney while saying it's time to "get serious" about the candidate best equipped to tackle economic problems and the budget deficit.
White told GreenvilleOnline.com that he, too, is "very surprised" to see attacks on Romney's tenure at Bain.
"I think, if anything, it will backfire because it only points out again that he has real-world experience," he said.Last edited by myboynoah; 01-11-2012, 08:10 PM.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

Romney was the first to do it as a non-incumbent, so we'll see.Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostForget these idiot pundits trying to prolong their relevancy. Just answer me a simple question. Well, Iowa has only been in this position since 1976, so if by "ever" you mean "in the past 36 years," then no. But I'm not sure that's particularly material.Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostForget these idiot pundits trying to prolong their relevancy. Just answer me a simple question. Romney is likely to win the nomination. But it's certainly not a lock. The extended schedule this year could actually hurt him. It will be quite interesting to see how much blood is drawn in the time before the SC primary. If Romney gets through this period relatively unscathed, it's a very good sign for him.

If Romney pulls off a win in South Carolina, wouldn't you think it would basically be over? The money would get behind Mitt and dry up for Santorum, Perry, Huntsman, and even the angry fat hobbit. I don't see how those guys could effectively go on. Paul will probably stay in the race until the end, but the rest of the primaries would be a cakewalk for Mitt with Paul getting his 5-15%.Originally posted by calicoug View PostWell, Iowa has only been in this position since 1976, so if by "ever" you mean "in the past 36 years," then no.
