So Perry has gone off like a Roman candle, Romney looks like the probable nominee, and nobody here is saying anything about it. Are you afraid of jinxing him, or has he, like Reid, become so assimilated that he is not a part of the Mormon self-identity? Have Romney and cuff followed a parallel metaphysical arc?
When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.

I've been thinking about Romney being the likely nominee, although I don't anticipate voting for him.

Also, if you really are looking for Romney discussion try these threads:

Note a trend with the thread titles and see if that matches your expectation of where a majority of CUFfers stand re: Romney. Also, if it doesn't seem like Romney is discussed enough here it's because influential board members started making fun of LAU for being a fanboy so he stopped posting in the politics forum.

Careful. With posts like that you're likely to have jaysantos and the rest of the thread-police police on your tail.

I have been expecting more the DJ Ross type of moral certitude and moral chauvenism that is a mainstay with BYU fans. Are you saying a Ute has been doing in this instance? That's disapointing. Probably why I missed it.

To be fair, Most of LA Ute's Romney fan posts have been less about policy/politics and more about letting us know that he goes to dinner fundraisers.

DJ Ross! Wow, there's a name I've not heard in about 7 years. What happened to that guy?

Why not? He is good at taking over nursing homes, cutting out bingo time and reducing the amount of healthy food the patients get.

I actually used to like Romney, despite Bain Capital, but he seems so phoney.

Romney shows very well in this clip from Morning Joe / MSNBC [ame="http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036789/#44698942"]Morning Joe[/ame]

Mitt has found his rhythm and is on point in this campaign - whether it will be enough to overcome his vulnerabilities remains to be seen.

the last quote is awesome. Great way to come up with the marginal tax rate

People who say we can throw out the tax code with a flat tax are up in the night. Sure parts would go away, but some of the code focuses on defining 'income' and that will always be difficult. How would it be defined for self employed people? What do they get to deduct as business expenses? Will depreciation still be allowed or do we get 100% deduction when the money is spent? How will stock based compensation be taxed? What about benefits paid for employees by their employer?
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
