For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

CNN’s Van Jones Suggests Alleged Kenosha Shooter Should Be ‘Beat’ For ‘Irresponsible’ Actions

Interrupting the Republican National Convention (RNC) Wednesday night, CNN’s Van Jones suggested people should beat up a 17-year-old, who allegedly shot and killed two individuals early Wednesday morning during a riot in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
          [...]
“My prayer is that [Mike Pence] will try to bring us together. My prayer is that the left won’t beat this kid up because he likes Donald Trump. We should beat this kid up because he is doing irresponsible things and has been pulled into an irresponsible movement that the president needs to denounce,” Jones said.

Ah, so that is why Sandmann's lawyer is taking this case. Time to sue CNN for another $250 mil.

Who cares if he's a minor? I know it sounds awful, but if the skateboard had finished the kid, I wouldn't have shed a tear.

‘They just need to disappear’: Kenosha sheriff once called for Black shoplifters to be ‘warehoused’ and kept from having children

After five young, Black people allegedly stole about $5,000 of clothing, sped away from police and then crashed into a teenage driver in 2018, Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth had a harsh message. Although no one was seriously injured, the maximum sentences the suspects could face were not long enough for the sheriff, the Kenosha News reported.

“These people have to be warehoused,” Beth, who is White, said at a news conference. The three men involved in the crime should be removed from society so that they could not father children, he suggested, adding that all five suspects, whose ages ranged from 16 to 23, should go to prison for life.

“We put them away for the rest of their lives so the rest of us can be better,” Beth said.
I wonder how he feels about young Kyle Rittenhouse.

I care. Trying kids as adults is morally wrong.

I wonder how many people are not shedding a tear for the convicted child molester and wife beater.

damn. have an ounce of compassion. should his life be over at 17 because he made a horrible decision to bring a gun to the riots?

The double standards in politics are weird. The left is okay with Clinton (sexually assaulted many women while an adult and political) speaking at the convention because they believe in second chances but they don’t mind a kid being killed because he made a stupid choice.

I remember a young teenager (18) who somehow got off an unlucky/fluke shot that killed a UHP trooper in 1993. When I met him, he seemed like a good kid who just made a bad decision, and his whole life he had ahead of him was gone. I think he's now 45, and still in prison. I think he'll come up for parole again ina few years.

Agreed. The separate justice systems exist for good reason.

I'm not trying to justify my lack of compassion, I'm just stating a fact. If the kid had entered a biker bar and spit in face of the club leader I wouldn't feign outrage over what would likely happen to him. Intellectually I know I should feel bad for the kid, but I'm just being honest when I say I don't care what happens to the kid.

The victims' prior bad deeds are a red herring, and you know it.
