No kidding. I don't think I could hack a full 11 months of Romney vs. Obama. Let the entertainment fireworks passionate campaigning continue!

Agreed, for multiple reasons. First, obviously, is the entertainment value. Second, his presence has made Romney a better campaigner. And C, with Newt throwing every conceivable argument against Romney that he can, it may weaken the Dems ability to use those same arguments down the road; perhaps the public will react with a "yeah, we've heard all that" and the effectiveness of the opposition's barbs will be diminished. Oh, and fourth, I'm mesmerized by Callista.

Sadly I agree. This is now personal for Newt. He'll only stop when the money stops.

We felt discomfort for you when Fox News, playing on a big screen at your Victory Party, projected Romney’s win at 8 p.m. sharp. We felt pain when we heard that your concession speech might have to be delayed because there weren’t enough supporters to fill the seats behind you. We felt anguish when we learned that some of the “supporters” on the floor were in fact onlookers from a hardware convention.

But when you emerged after 9 p.m. Tuesday to give your speech, you spoke directly to “the elite media” about your intentions: “I just want to reassure them tonight: We are going to contest every place, and we are going to win, and we will be in Tampa as the nominee in August.”

Thank you for that, Newt. As your most ardent fans, we in the media are greatly relieved.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Why is Romney going to Minnesota before Nevada? Only thing I can think of is to court Michele Bachmann. I guess she could be helpful with all the Tea Partiers in the west that are coming up.

The Minnesota caucuses are coming up this month, but that is interesting. I think Bachman's old debate coach is now Mitt's new debate coach (a Liberty University guy). I wonder if there are some amicable relations there.

As nutty as Bachman can be, her endorsement (as you noted) would be helpful with the Tea Partiers that The Gingrich needs, and even better, hopefully push Palin further out of the way.

Was I seeing things or did Florida exit polling show that Mitt beat out Newt for the votes of those who support the Tea Party?

The Minnesota Caucus is less than one week away. You can't just plant yourself in one state anymore. There are 4 caucuses (and one non-binding primary) within the next week.
