For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Forget fighting Newt and his minions. A roadie with Mr. Ward? That would be worth the effort. falafel can attest to that.Originally posted by myboynoah View PostGo IPU, Go! Gingrich campaign lowers Nevada and Michigan expectations
So, moving forward into February, it looks like The Gingrich and his minions think they have their best shots at Arizona, Minnesota, Maine, and Colorado (in that order). The last three are caucus states, so you would think that would play to the strengths of campaigns with active organizations: Mitt and Paul. Plus, Mitt really smoked the field in all three of those states back in 2008.
I'm puzzled by Arizona. They note a strong Tea Party presence, but there's a significant Mormon population, McCain is backing Mitt, and Mitt's illegal-immigrant stance is tougher than The Gingrich's. Maybe they figure they'll have a whole month to firecracker the state with anti-Mitt ads, giving them a headstart and some hope.
This is where the money problems start to matter.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

Palin's all in for Newt now; her husband's doing robocalls for Gingrich in Florida, and her Facebook page deletes posts defending Romney's Mormonism.“There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again.”

Let's hope it takes her and the idiot wing of the GOP down with it. Good hell she's annoying.Originally posted by falafel View PostShe picked a good time to jump on the sinking ship.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

I saw Palin on Hannity last night. She does not look good and she sounds dumb as ever."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

This is double annoying. Not only is Sarah Palin jumping on the anti-Mo bandwagon, but LAU and his compatriot are getting credit for exposing her.Originally posted by LA Ute View PostPalin's all in for Newt now; her husband's doing robocalls for Gingrich in Florida, and her Facebook page deletes posts defending Romney's Mormonism.

NewtAnd according to an American Research Group survey released Tuesday morning, 36% of people questioned said they already voted, and among those, Romney led former House Speaker Newt Gingrich 51% to 29%, with former Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania at 12% and Rep. Ron Paul of Texas at 10%.

Hey LAU, why is President Obama's face transparent at the top of your blog? Are you making an allusion to Back to the Future?Originally posted by YOhio View PostThis is double annoying. Hate to break it to Newt's Army (not you) but polling shows that without Santorum in the Florida race, Romney wins by even more.Originally posted by byu71 View PostImpossible. So - just looking ahead...
Utah's primary is the last of all the states and is held 21 days AFTER the next to last set of primaries.
Um...is there any way possible to make Utah's presidential primary even less consequential than it already is?
I mean, I kind of knew this from the beginning. I'm not sure it matters who Utah votes for and if it weren't for local elections I'm not sure there would even be a point in going to the polls. The candidate has already been determined. What is the point?
