For the record, there are several differences:

USA: legal in 11 states, illegal in 39
    Canada: federal law

USA: doctor provides drugs, patient self administers
Canada: doctor can kill the patient

USA: restricted to a limited number of terminal illnesses
Canada: can be used for a broad range of illness, many not terminal, including mental illness

God forbid we ever become fully like Canada on this issue.
Just pushing back against a sensationalist article you posted. Of course there are differences between two completely different countries and their politics and laws, but that's not the point. Assisted suicied is wrong in my opinion, and it is also wrong to mis-represent the reality of its potential application such as drawing a distinction between a doctor providing drugs and a doctor killing a patient.

The mental gymnastics to formulate and promote that distinction as important is at a minimum intellectually dishonest. Providing the drugs is killing the patient. There is no nuance there.

How morally bankrupt is the political discourse in the US that an article sensationally pillorying another country for it's laws and practices on assisted suicide needs to be defended by arguments tantamount to: the US allows it citizens to kill themselves better than other countries.

      USA USA USA!!!

Ha! Where is my CBC interview?

American health care workers here are definitely increasing. But I'll have you know I was ahead of the game. I started preparing my USexit long before Trump was elected again!

I don't think Canada wants those jokers or the angry "Greater Idaho" paranoiacs.

If we get too many Americans up there we will have no choice but to annex Canada.

One of my business school profs used to call Canada "America's Tithe", since a good rule of thumb was that anything economic in Canada was about 10% of the US.

That was about 30 years ago so I am not sure if it is still a good rule of thumb.

Works for demographics too. Canada has had about 10% of the population although the US hasn’t kept up with Canadian growth recently.

It is a good rule of thumb. There's about 40 million Canadians now to the US's ~340.

And people thought a woman president would be impulsive and prone to mood swings.
