Interesting NYT podcast today about Walz. His general likability could be offset by his extreme liberal record as governor the last two years. He has had the benefit of a democratic house and senate in Minnesota so he be basically rammed through everything they could - kind of like Ron DeSantis in Florida but the other way around. Abortion, gun control, medical treatments for trans minors, etc.

I've seen reporting that Harris just didn't get along with Shapiro. Others reporting that his own abilities and ambitions would overshadow her own, which she didn't want. Both of these may be true but antisemitism clearly was factored in as well.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostComment

I have a very good friend who is progressive. He is knee deep in their policy world. His understanding of the progressive strategy is that the majority independents are turned of by Trump and, if they vote, it will be for Harris. Their turnout focus is on the youth (who are overwhelmingly progressive) to shore up the winning coalition. The youth don't like Isreal and they love unions.
