        Why would their families care? Only suckers and losers die in war. They're nobodies. Nobody should feel sad at all.

        The Atlantic also reported that during a different exchange on the France trip, Trump called the Marines who died in the Battle of Belleau Wood “suckers.”

        The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg instead reports that sources close to Trump said that the real reason for the trip’s cancellation was that Trump worried his hair would look bad in the rain and photos would be taken.

              I think the Michigan governor or North Carolina governor would work. They are doing well in swing states.

              i don’t know how well they debate or how vetted they’ve been, but otherwise seem like good choices.

                Crazy talk. Newsom is more polished than Trump but Trump would bury him. I disagree with frank. The tipping point turning this into a rout is Biden's senility, but the reason why it was close to begin with is because Trump actually poses more moderate than Biden on a few key issues. Let's not forget the reason Biden was picked over Bernie and then Trump in 2020 was because of his supposed moderation. Newsom is a known far left guy. There is no appetite for that nationally right now in spite of what Twitter might say on any given day.

                  For this reason Harris is the obvious replacement. But she polls worse than Biden against Trump...

                  RealClearPolling averages show that limited surveys suggest that Harris has an even bigger disadvantage than Biden if she were to run against Trump. The former president leads Harris by 6.6 percentage points, with 49.3 percent support to the Democrat's 42.7 percent. RCP averages show Trump ahead of Biden by just 1.5 points, with 46.6 percent to the president's 45.1 percent.

                          Newsom is pretty progressive but I think the far left designation should be left for Bernie Sanders and the like. He'd handle Trump in a debate.
