  • The reviews are in. And they are brutal. From the NYT:

“Biden is about to face a crescendo of calls to step aside,” said a veteran Democratic strategist who has staunchly backed Mr. Biden publicly. “Joe had a deep well of affection among Democrats. It has run dry.”
Biden should have had at least a couple of home runs. Abortion should have been one of them. But even his response on that was cringy.

I’m seeing online posts like ‘I’m voting for an administration’, which I get and I’m certainly in that camp. But I see a wave of independents and progressive dems sitting this one out.

I was wondering why I was getting daily desperate sounding emails from the Biden team. They must be seeing bad numbers.

Yeah, I didn't get what sisters raping sisters had to do with abortion... Of course, incest is familiar with Joe given he liked to take showers with his daughter. But I think Trump said no problem for abortion in the case of rape anyway.

I mean you do realize that Trump's response to abortion was much worse than Biden's, repeatedly making bald-faced lies and demonizing a significant proportion of citizens by calling them baby killers, right?

          Right?!?

You dodged his question? You do realize you are constantly championing a man who civilly held liable for sexual assault?
Also, this self-proclaimed swamp drainer has said he won't release the Epstein files?

Also his spirit advisor has revealed as a child sex predator. But hey keeping singing Trump's praises and channel your internal teenage 4channer.

Yep, agree 100% that he flubbed it bigly.

But come on, we can be honest here right? You can admit that Trump lies his ass off when talking about murdering babies in the 9th month and after, and that is worse than any flub that Biden has had about abortion.

We get that you like Trump more than you let on here, but libertarians try to make a good show of criticizing leaders of both parties equally.

Yeah, I suspect the DNC will force him out... and not even give him a participation award for winning the democratic primaries. He will be screwed just like Bernie Sanders by the DNC.

Hillary will make her case that she needs a second chance against Trump dusting off the Steele dossier but it seems the Dems are already lining up behind Kamala Harris. Everyone knows that the country needs their "Mamala" right now:

Max, I'm sure i've told you this before, but if I haven't, here it is again: The sooner you realize TedBot isn't here for a good-faith dialogue and you treat him like the bot he is, the better off you will be. I still don't understand why anyone expects him to participate here in good faith. The more you ignore him, the easier it gets. You start to recognize the spam posts before you even notice his name by them, and you start autoscrolling past them. Just take my word and do it. Everyone here--not just you.
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

                          • One potential benefit from the relatively (and I do use that term loosely) better debate performance from Trump is that he gets cockier and really starts saying crazy(er) shit. Maybe that'll make the nervous voters forget Biden's performance.

Oh look, some crazy shit not 24 hours after the debate:

In the next week you'll see polling like this again and I bet the results will be the same. There is not a lot of time left for people with little name recognition to overtake Trump. I still think the better strategy is focusing on a new VP and keeping Biden at the top of the ticket.

The sheer hubris of the DNC and legacy media to beleive hiding Biden's decline wouldn't backfire. Astonishing.
This is correct. I don't see a way a Biden/Harris ticket can win at this point. But I also don't see how they can replace Kamala without some significant backlash from the intersectional left. Maybe they are panicked enough that they would actually allow it? It would be a good thing. Problem is who could be inserted either as VP or at the top of the ticket who is both likable and moderate enough to counter trump? All the moderates with any name recognition in the Democrat party are as old as Biden and extremely unlikable and all the younger possibilities are fairly extreme (at least in rhetoric) and would push independents further toward trump.

How about Fetterman? Now there's a partially incapacitated candidate I could actually vote for.
