  • I think Trump is about the same level of racist that you'd expect of any 80-year old white guy who grew up in Queens. I don't think he's ideologically racist, but definitely a product of his time. I think it's unfair to tar him with the actions of his father.

    • I still think Trump probably wins this but pretty amazing how in two weeks it has gone from "Biggest landslide since 1984" to "it's pretty much a toss-up"

I wouldn't underestimate Trump. He's been in much worse situations, though I think his 2016 team was much better than this one. I think part of it is due to the excitement surrounding a new candidate. Harris has a ton of momentum and energy and her campaign has been smart about limiting her exposure, something that would have helped Trump over the past couple weeks. I imagine her momentum will stall a bit after the convention and it'll be tight in November.

        • Harris is still in her honeymoon phase. Let's see how things look in a month. Right now Trump is working hard to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

I dont think you need his father to conclude it. I dont know many old people who go around calling black people Ns around their work place. not to mention the immigration rhetoric.

Again, is there actual evidence of this other than a producer claiming it and Omorasa repeating what the producer's allegations in her book? The tape, if it ever existed, would most likely have come out if it were true. This sin that you and Frank like to pass along as truth, was never proven and might just be the product of a disgruntled employee.

Trump made an yuge mistake by agreeing to debate Biden before the DNC convention. He would have been a lot better off exposing Grandpa Joe brain dead state after the Dems had really no choice. Now it is pretty much a toss-up. But who cares? I'm voting for RJK Jr, most likely.

It doesn't really matter. Both sides will take the ugliest rumor about the other side and neither heaven nor hell will convince them it's incorrect. Republicans believed Hillary was molesting kids and harvesting their adrenochrome at a DC pizza parlor while Democrats believed Trump was getting golden showers from prostitutes in Moscow hotels. Rational thinking doesn't apply to partisans.

Yeah, except all the rumors about Hillary were true and all that "Russia, Russia, Russia" stuff on Trump was shown to be false. Now the public doesn't trust the crap the Dems dig up about Trump... They just think it is more "Russia, Russia, Russia" crap the Dems are fabricating. And they already don't trust the government given they tried to kill Trump (or didn't do much to try to stop it).

True, but it doesn't mean they shouldn't be called out. It's tough to have a friendly debate with the irrational.

Lol. Way to prove his point.

True. I think that’s what I appreciate about this board. Rarely do things get personal, even though we have some strong disagreements. Uncle Ted does a great job at modeling how one can be both insanely irrational and friendly at the same time.

I like him well enough. From what I’ve seen he seems like a good choice.
