No, a bunch of people have sympathy for them. Trump has made the participants central to his campaign. He is already planning to pardon all coup attempters. There is a great deal of daylight between Trump and Biden in terms of what they could do that is harmful.
It's not silly to worry about a guy who is already predicting, if not encouraging bloodshed, should he lose.
Various GOP politicians and media influencers are talking about the specter of civil war.
That should be seen as frightening. Trump has shown he tries to do a lot of the awful and dumb things he says he will do.

Part of the human response when confronted with crisis or danger is 'well it could never happen here,' or 'it could never happen to me.' Absolutely nobody in Italy thought Mussolini would snap his fingers and go from Prime Minister to dictator. But he exhibited many of the same authoritarian signals, habits, language, and tendency that Trump is now. And Trump isn't even hiding it. The quiet part out loud is his specialty. I think that's a bit hyperbolic. I'm not frightened or even pessimistic, but I am definitely concerned. Honestly, I'd be a bit more apathetic if I was living in Utah, knowing my vote wasn't really going to help matters (They ought to bifurcate those electoral votes like they do in Nebraska). Seems like a big part of the problem with the country right now is people freaking out and making decisions based on anger and fear.
I'm not saying there isn't peril. I just don't know the best way to approach it and don't think the answer is anger and fear.
