So... looks like some of the transcripts of Ben Hur's investigation of Biden were released and ... surprise surprise- looks like he lied about Biden's 'poor memory' and made some creative choices in forming his report-- probably seeking a plum appointment should Trump win. He's getting absolutely lambasted in the House right now...

But it is interesting. For example, people are furiously claiming that Hur lied about Biden not remembering what year his son died. This is the actual transcript. Keep in mind that the opening line here (2017? 2018?) is Biden trying to recall the year that his son was deployed to Iraq. He actually died in 2015, as someone in the room reminded him.

Facts: he was never asked about the year of the death. he said the right date and then someone said 2015 and he said ah yea 2015.

Exaggerated, maybe. But he didn't make it up. Biden is old and forgetful. That much is pretty obvious.

I don't know that Biden not being able to specify the year of Beau's death is so damning. I honestly could not tell you the years my first three children were born. I know the fourth one because it was 1999 and easy to remember. Then I start counting back from there, but still can't be exact. A very big meh.
