Bro... the guy who wouldn't vote for impeachment bc he said the Department of Justice could still hold him accountable is now going to endorse him? Is there a bolder proclamation from the mountaintop that politics is bullshit?"I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando / Your man don't want it, Trump's a bitch! I'll make his whole brand go under,"

The real reason "black people" like Trump is because he's into sneakers. Dude's got cred.Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View Post
But "the black people" like him because he has been discriminated against in the legal system, just as they have been. His sufferings are similar to those described in a Curb Your Enthusiasm episode where a participant in Survivor argued that he had it worse than those in the Holocaust."The mind is not a boomerang. If you throw it too far it will not come back." ~ Tom McGuane

Are the Dems sure they want to keep riding with Biden and just hope public opinion radically changes or the courts save them? Seems unwise.

I'm not attached to Biden. I think he is far more preferable to Trump, and it's not close. I also think an alternative democratic candidate would leave a lot of ppl dissatisfied in different ways.Originally posted by USUC View PostAre the Dems sure they want to keep riding with Biden and just hope public opinion radically changes or the courts save them? Electability should be a more important factor. I'd also prefer Biden to Trump, but it's clear (at this point) that the country is split. Split with Donald Trump! Not good. I guess the question is would a change in dissatisfaction be worse for Biden? I don't think Kamala would help the situation over Biden. But the elites in the party would melt down if the bypasses her. However, I don't think the base or independents would care. That is a big advantage that the Democrats have over the GOP. The base of the GOP wants Trump and there is nothing that can be done to dissuade them. The Democratic base isn't as delusional.Originally posted by frank ryan View Post

Completely agree with your first point. If your second point is true, and maybe it is, then it is a pretty strong indictment of the Democratic party's ability to put forth good candidates. Joe Biden wasn't incredibly compelling as a 46 year old presidential candidate. That he is now 81 and we are all like "Well, can't really think of anyone better!" is a little worrisome.Originally posted by frank ryan View Post

I can’t think of a more damming indictment of the Democratic Party than their inability to come up with a better candidate to face trump both in 2016 and now. Idiots.Originally posted by Clark Addison View Post

Yeah, I'm still not worried. The internals of the poll are wild, and deeply suspect. What 10% of Biden voters, having rejected Trump for Biden in 2020, now say they want Trump back? With Trump's mental decline is clear display, I just don't see it.Originally posted by Maximus View Post
