nikki would wipe the floor with joe. I'd only she was coming in second to "none of the above" in the Republican primaries.
I too would vote for Kamala over Trump. There are very few people I would not vote for over trump.

While my vote is super important and all, I'm more concerned about the outcome in general. I hope the Dems can find a strong moderate candidate to replace Joe with.

Of course, my ultimate wish would be to have the Republican put up an adequate (or better) candidate like Nikki and I can vote for them.

I don't think there was much concern out of the ordinary when he originally picked her in 2020, but under the spotlight, she hasn't held up to the scrutiny. While she hasn't done jack squat as VP (similar to most VPs). Her messaging has generally been terrible, and messaging is something vital for a POTUS to be good at.
Of course she wouldn’t be a good nominee. Her political career is over.

This dumb argument started because JL has some weird fetish with DEI.

She could have been a fantastic VP pick AND be a horrible VP. JL showing his Biden seemingly unable to understand that concept. Anyone paying attention during the 2019 primary knows why she was chosen.

She could have been a transcendent VP and POTUS for the next 8 years, instead she’ll continue to be marginalized and useless.

The current LNP is a farce and only the Mises caucus would be dumb enough to admire RFK jr. The party of libertarians no more.

            • You guys are way too pessimistic.

The average voter isn't paying attention to what some right-wing special counsel says about Biden. They just aren't. I mean, if the average voter is happily ignoring the liability, judgments, and criminal cases massing against Trump? This isn't even a blip except to the politically engaged, which, to be honest, makes up a heck of a lot less than the populace than we would like to believe. And to the politically engaged, this doesn't move the needle from a Biden vote to a Trump vote. Also, the S&P 500 is bullish, making "the economy" less of a perceived drag on Biden than it otherwise has been.

Ha. That is funny you call me "obsessed". I literally used that DEI line once in connection with Harris and you haven't let it go since.

You are also weirdly obsessed with arguing why Harris was such a great pick at the time even though none of that changes the current circumstances of a dreadful Biden/Harris ticket, which is the real thing people here are interested in talking about. Let it go.

                • I think the odds of a Trump win immediately increased to 50%. And even though this brouhaha is based mainly on an uncorroborated allegation of mental decline (I highly doubt he couldn't recall the death of his son in anything resembling a normal conversation), perception is everything. Biden has declined. I hope he's fit enough to run the country. If he is I hope more voters than not are assured by his human decency.

I can't believe that public perception isn't as negative with Trump's mental fitness as it is with Biden, but here we are.

Polling shows 70%+ are concerned about Biden's cognitive abilities. The average vote most certainly knows about his decline. And now that CNN, ABC, CBS, etc are covering this story, Biden's team are vocally pushing back and the spotlight is brighter. This isnt an issue they can hide.

Because the issue, like so many of the GOP's issue du jur and message of the day, is bull.

You’re coming off a bit disingenuous here. You’re not a bit concerned about Biden’s cognitive abilities these days? Like when he gives a speech or press conference you don’t get uncomfortable? I do. I can’t watch imbecause it gets me anxious. I don’t like seeing the POTUS mispeak, mumble or look foolish and it’s a rare event when he doesn’t.

                              • Why in the world does anybody care about Biden's cognitive decline? There is only one imperative in the 2024 election, and it is that under no circumstance can Donald Trump ever be allowed to hold office again. I no longer have appetite for polite discourse. I'm ready for messy. I'm ready for Joubert. Let's start a Joubert Go-Fund-Me. Put me down for $5,000.
