I’ve already conceded she’s an awful VP.

Dumb people have an inability to understand that sometimes when someone is picked for a job, HC, CEO, teacher, VP, etc, and when that person fails at their job, it doesn’t automatically mean that person was an awful choice. One can’t always have home run hires. Some folks fail, some rise. It really is weird you can’t synthesize this easy to understand mechanism of life.

By the simple metric of being on a national ticket that won the POTUS means she was a great pick. Doesn’t mean she will be a success after getting the job.

Im sure you will respond with, but polls show everyone hates her! No shit Falafal, everyone knows this.

      Not black.

Were you guys on Mars? For the last time, Clyburn said he’d deliver the base of the party to Joe, in return he wanted a Black VP as his running mate. Joes campaign was over, he made the promise, Clyburn endorsed, the black caucuses rallied, Bidens campaign was saved and in turned it saved us from Warren/Bernie/Trump.

No Kamala other WOC no Biden.

        Haha.

This is such a great post. I rest my case.

I thought they got rid of them, but regardless
I guess I mostly dont believe there is any sort of plan, especially if it comes after a portion of the primaries. he wouldve dropped out in November

it will have to be forced on him through a health scare or something else

And we’ve already went over why Biden made that deal.
shes terrible, and yes she got him votes, Im not sure which other WOC wouldve fit the bill at the time. maybe michelle. lol

I don't do polls. Apparently you don't do "falafel".

Its funny you think that because she helped solidify Biden's campaign and subsequent pick that she is permanently a "great pick". She might have been great if that was the only goal. But maybe, just possibly, there was another person who could have been picked would have helped secure the ticket AND could be a viable alternative should Biden step aside. Its not like Biden wasn't telling everyone he was a one-term president from the start.

She ended up failing badly and everyone hates her and now she won't do the right thing and step down to save the party/ticket/country and so we will likely end up with the orange dictator in the WH and the biggest threat to US democracy since the civil war, but SHE WAS A GREAT PICK!

If you can't understand that, you are dumb person like me.

Why do we even care about this at this point?

Let's worry about what can be, unburdened by what has been!

Time to shed Biden (and if possible Trump) and move on!

What other goal is there for a VP?

VPs are chosen to drive votes of very specific demographics/regions, that’s their utility. They don’t have a significant portfolio that drives forward the needs of the country. They deliver votes in very specific circumstances:

                    Joe - white corporate votes
Sarah Palin - MAGAs pre MAGA
Ryan - WI and other surrounding MW
Kane - VA and older white dudes
                    Pence - Evangelical Christians
                    Kamala - Black support

It gets weird this fixation on her performance, can any of you even name an initiative Pence drove in 4 years save mimicking Trumps water bottle habits? No because we are adults and realize the idiot had one specific goal, make Trump palatable to Evangelicals.

I think a pretty simple metric is to have someone in the VP office where people don't freak out imagining how screwed the country would be if the president died. Especially if the president is 80+ years old.

The POTUS was just called too dumb to indict and was so mentally impaired he doesn’t remember when he was VP and yet the markets are crushing.

Kamala really going to screw the country if she had to finish out a term? GTFO.

Wait. Are you now trying to gaslight us into thinking that Biden and Harris are a strong ticket? Have you not been paying attention to the polls? YOU YOURSELF have argued that Trump will probably win. GTFO, indeed.

                          • Fusnik, what are you arguing here? Is it that you think Kamala Harris would be a good Presidential nominee, or that she adds to the ticket as a VP nominee? Or is it that she was the right person to pick for VP back in 2020?

I don't think there was much concern out of the ordinary when he originally picked her in 2020, but under the spotlight, she hasn't held up to the scrutiny. While she hasn't done jack squat as VP (similar to most VPs). Her messaging has generally been terrible, and messaging is something vital for a POTUS to be good at.

I agree that Biden is too old, and Kamala is a huge meh.

that said, no way in hell I'd vote for a sociopathic, sec offender, with a penchant for coups over either of them.

nikki would wipe the floor with joe. I'd only she was coming in second to "none of the above" in the Republican primaries.
