Ah, well. Hindsight and all that.
Not to mention that the Ukraine special military operation would have lasted just a few days with that country being back in the Russian fold, Finland would still be independent, and Sidney Powell or Rudy would be the AG.

I concede that my scenario wouldn’t have quite been 100% puppies and sunshine.

although, according to 98% of CB, the only reason Russia invaded Ukraine in the first place was because Putin was afraid of Trump but knew Biden was a beta wimp. So I think we will have to call that issue a toss-up.

lol Trump is clearly Putin's bitch. He's scared to even voice an echo of support for a fledgling Democracy facing invasion.

Not even close to a tossup. Trump would have done anything he could get away with to help Putin take over Ukraine.

I think Putin was waiting for a Trump 2nd term that didn't happen. If it did, this would not be the response. Trump gave orders during his last days to withdraw all military personnel from Germany. The military brass slow-played orders until they could be reserved by the Biden admin.

Trump admitted he wouldn't defend NATO allies if they were paying enough money, despite the 2 percent threshold being an agreed upon goal rather than a treaty-requirement. John Bolton saw signs Trump was trying damage NATO.

Trump had asked about how he could pull out of NATO but was discouraged by some of the more sane members of his cabinet. It was a frequent topic between he and Putin and Vladimir got tired of having to explain how NATO worked

I wonder when people will start considering he is doing textbook fascist things.

I suspect Putin would be ROFL if someone suggested he were afraid of Trump, a guy Putin played like a banjo in Helsinki. But I agree that seems to be the prevailing sentiment on CB, and it is a demented one. As Frank mentions above, Trump would have pulled us out of Germany and would have had the exact opposite effect on NATO that Biden has had. Biden has certainly had significant foreign and domestic policy missteps, but his unification, enlarging, and strengthening of NATO has been excellent. Trump, on the other hand, said at the outset of the Ukraine invasion that ultimately Putin "is going to take over all of Ukraine." I don't understand how the CB Trumpists think Trump would have been better than Biden or a potted plant in dealing with Putin and Ukraine.

Those same people also view Trump as a Christian person who holds genuine moral conviction and seeks inspiration from God. He behaves like he is the reincarnation of King Noah

I missed this Trump attack on DeSantis:

Mr. Trump has insinuated, without providing evidence, that Mr. DeSantis had inappropriate relationships with high school girls during a stint as a teacher in the early 2000s and that Mr. DeSantis might be gay.
A president to be proud of.
