Trump Derangement Syndrome is a thing and it existed, actually probably still exists, on this board. It doesn't cover those who had reasonable issues with Trump or were respectful about their disagreements. It covers those who regularly used hyperbole, caustic language, and virtue signaling to go after every....single....thing...Trump did or said whether it was good or bad. They also went after anyone who had the gall to vote for Trump. You see the same thing on the other side with many who go after Mitt.
Everyone knows I voted for Trump. My main reason was possible SCOTUS nominations. I don't apologize for it. My reasoning panned out and I got what I wanted out of it. Now I'm ready to be done with Trump. With that said, my life was significantly better under Trump than it is under Biden.
Trump derangement syndrome was warranted. People should have been more deranged. The guy orchestrated a failed coup attempt. You act like the only thing Trump was guilty of was bluster and bad manners. The guy posed an existential threat to American democracy, and in your mind it was worth the risk because you bagged a handful of religious extremist justices. It wasn't worth the risk. I don't think the country will ever completely recover from the damage done to it by Donald Trump. If people had been more deranged, maybe Trump would have been shut down before he had the chance to do the damage he did.

Cult personality disorder. Blind defense.
A politically favorable Supreme Court is not worth straining the check and balances, norms, rules, courtesies, laws and common sense put in place that make our country function.
No one should pine for good old days of a coup attempter.

This reminds me of the Thanos gif where the child asks him, 'what did it cost you?' Thanos: 'Everything'.
For a measly 3 SCOTUS picks the GOP has sold their souls for a future of election-denying nation-dividing and fascist-level demagoguery. Even if Trump isn't the nominee (safe money is still on him), the 2024 and on nominee will be his protege. I hope everyone is settled in with the most fringe faction driving the GOP, because it's gonna be here for awhile.
I think it's hilarious that Trump loves to tell the snake poem at his rallies. He is the snake that the GOP allowed in the tent. Neither he nor his influence is going away any time soon.
"...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

The notion that Trump supporters only supported him because of supreme court picks is grossly oversimplistic.

Will you give all the evidence of this said coup to the FBI so the DoJ can throw Drumpf into jail please? This would be the end of Drumpf... and clear the way for DeSantis.
Don't wait... Do it now! If you don't do it and Drumpf becomes GOP'ers presidential candidate I am blaming you, man.

I didn't say that. It was an important thing to Shaka and a lot of other Trump voters. I used it only as an example of what I hear most Trump supporters say is one of his most important legacies.

Marianne Williamson enters the fray again, saying the right thing, ‘Democrats shouldn’t fear a primary.’ But can she stop herself from saying the wrong psychic things?
also, she’s 70.
