Trumps ideas on fixing things are stupid, but it doesn’t mean he doesn’t want less violence.
Upon further review, i agree he's saying he couldn't care less if it gets him in trouble, but his overall response, including additional statements not included in the clip, makes clear he has no interest in, or eve a hope for, reconciliation.

i wish everyone would read Lincoln's Second inaugural and compare his "with malice toward none" theme with Trump's "I am your retribution" declarations and constant attacks on his "vermin" opposition and join me in lamenting how far we have sunk.

    • What’s being lost in this debate is that Trump’s actual answer is probably worse than “I couldn’t care less” because his answer is basically “radicals on the left are nutso, but radicals on the right are really just passionate about enforcing the laws”.

legitimately, “one side is justified and the other isn’t” is probably a worse answer than “I don’t care if we ever bring the sides together”
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

        I agree with this.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. listen, PAC is old. He may not be as old as Biden or creekster, but I’m willing to bet he’s old enough to wear white New Balance shows with Velcro in place of shoelaces when he works in the temple.

I do not have Velcroed shoes. [Vital correction: my cycling shoes have Velcro. I have not yet worn them in the temple.]

I do not work in the temple.

I do not wear hearing aids.

But I am old, older than creekster. I prefer to think of me as the board's elder statesman.

Sketchers Slip-Ins are the new Velcro shoes. Please don’t ask me how I know. I’ll bet they can be had in an all white temple-ready version.

Me too. The are really comfy performance slippers. I've become a huge fan. Nike has started to come out with their version but they haven't showed up locally. I'll try them when they do.

My back problems flared up earlier this year, and they have been awesome in that respect. So light and comfy too.
