Completely agree that society needs kids. Government should promote policies to make it easier. But it shouldn't denigrate adults who choose not to have children.

Or those that can't. Trump doesn't seem afraid to show up to venues like this. Just like when he went to Harlem. It seems she was rather hostel toward Trump the entire time (and apparently there was some problem so they didn't let me come out for like 35 minutes). Not very professional in journalism. Love my kids, and they are even more important to me now that I sense my career sunsetting. I've had quite a few colleagues that don't have children. Most of them have contributed to society in good ways. Who knows if any of them have regret over choosing to not have children. But this culture war of Vance's is so gross. It's a blatant attempt to divide society for an electoral advantage. Not everyone should be expected or even encouraged to have children. Some of them just aren't cut out for it. They can benefit society in other ways.

Not to bothsides this, but... both bsides are doing this. The race essentialism on the left is an attempt at this same thing. And I don't know what is going to move us out of this phase. Obviously Trump will need to pass from this mortal coil before it happens on the right. But Obama's influence on left will need to dissipate as well before we move on.

I remember asking one guy in a professional role if he has children and he said, "8, that I know of."

He does not need more children. He is not contributing to society more than others because he sides babies.

You and I watched completely different interviews. I saw one where Trump was completely unprepared to deal with hard but entirely fair questions, and instead of offering some defense of his past remarks he resorted to personal attacks. Which goes to show you just how insulated he is when he is mostly interviewed by fawning media.

You just did the bothsidism thing Obama was not corrosive like Trump. He did not try and perpetuate violence. You can dislike him he just was not dictatorial and didn't talk about seizing power.
