    1. Sounds like pork barrel soshulism to me. Why is a libertarian for this? Shouldn't the market already be supplying rural America with all the internet they need at a competitive price?

    2. If you're pissed at the Dems for this, wait until you hear how much money has already been given to the telecoms to provide free high speed internet to rural America, and they keep not providing it.

    3. The 45.5B mostly funded broadband infrastructure improvements. Starlink is not infrastructure. If you wanted the Biden administration to help pay for rural Starlink access, perhaps you should have advocated for more funding for the Affordable Connectivity Program.

      Yes, I am pissed for the Dems' spending bill... but more pissed that can't they spend a sh*tton of money and show pretty much nothing for it, except for money lining the Dems' pockets.

      LOL... Starlink is infrastructure. Those little satellites don't just appear out of no where, you big dummy. And that would have provided internet for everyone and not just rural American customers. Of course, Dems hate things like free speech and democracy so hate Starlink.

          • Ted, the people you are calling commies aren't commies.

            I don't think democrats inherently hate free speech. Trump called the free press the enemy of the people and cheered on a MAGA goon who assaulted a member of the press. If you love free speech, that should be troubling.

            It was decided anti communist Ronald Reagan who said;
            "If we love our country, we should also love our countrymen."

            Trump is a terrible human and that isn't a reflection of his party affiliation. I could see him having taking a path where he found a different route to abusing power that a had a different idealogical flavor. I want to hope that those guardrails might have held up.
            But who knows.

                But shouldn’t she honor the agreement that was reached? Why try to change the rules at the last minute?

                  As noted, the Harris teams understands Trump is a child and prone to rudely interrupting her, and want to amplify that imagery. I guess they thought why not ask for open mics, and Trump quickly publicly agreed. But then the adults in Trump's room stepped in ruined all the fun.

                                If she were a democrat, republicans would be calling her a man.

                                Wait a minute, what do we know about Eric Trump exactly?
