Fitting. Destroying the last ounce of goodwill that anyone sympathetic to his term might still have."...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Agreed. I don't like these pardons for the reason that they did nothing wrong and there shouldn't be any cloud put on them from accepting a pardon. But when you have the probable incoming AG Bondi saying she was going after the J6 committee members and witnesses there is still a lot of damage that would be done to them through legal harassment and expenses on the way to the courts throwing out any charges,, and I think that's what Trump was really going for anyway.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostAs of one of the last acts of his failed presidency, Biden pardons Fauci and the J6 committee members. They have not committed any crime nor have they been charged of a crime. But with his pre-emptive pardons he validates the opinion of MAGA extremist that they SHOULD be charged.
What an idiot. Good riddance.

I think he probably did this because Trump and MAGA have been very public about their intention to go after them.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostAs of one of the last acts of his failed presidency, Biden pardons Fauci and the J6 committee members. MAGA is already ready unreasonable. It's not like anything Biden did or didn't do in his last days would make a damn bit of difference to them.
I think your outrage is misplaced.

I imagine you wouldn't have uttered a peep of discontent had MAGA imprisoned Fauci or the congress members who were just doing their job/Originally posted by USUC View PostWithin the final few minutes utea of his presidency, Biden pardoned his brothers and sister.
Can't wait for Trump to pardon the J6 "Patriots."

I would love to. But we have a guy who tried to upend very directly and violently once. His party is in control of all branches of government and those who stand up to him get sidelined.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View Post

These are not normal times.
Trump has shown us who he is and what he wants to do. Let's not underestimate that.

Why would they be jailed if they were just doing their jobs? Can Trump unilaterally imprison people?Originally posted by frank ryan View Post

Eventually legally yes. But lives can still be made hellish through the process of fighting the bogus harassment from Trump's DOJ. And that's all Trump would really care about anyway. So I understand it even though it would have been better for the public to see the courts throw all of it into the toilet. But it would likely take years.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View Post

Why would he do that? Did they commit a crime? I wonder if they got Burisma money.Originally posted by USUC View PostWithin the final few minutes utea of his presidency, Biden pardoned his brothers and sister."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. Any judge who rules in Trump's favor on the birthright citizenship issue deserves impeachment and removal. That would be the blatant giving of the middle finger to the 14th Amendment and therefore violation of their oath of officeOriginally posted by Northwestcoug View Post

When half of the senators would cheer that judge on, who is doing the removal?Originally posted by BlueK View Post
