Its being tested in my stake, but only informally. E.g., the stake YM presidency has basically walked off the job (per my wife, stake YW presidency).Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

What is the stake YM presidency even supposed to do?Originally posted by falafel View PostIts being tested in my stake, but only informally. Because nothing says "stick around" to youth like the elimination of half of the things they're most likely to enjoy about being a member.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostTwo predictions for possible changes, based on things currently being tested in selected areas:
1. Missionaries wearing casual clothing and no name tags.
2. YM/YW activities every other week. Also, no Duty To God or Personal Progress programs.

I am guessing that if you asked the current missionaries, the majority would not be in favor of going to casual clothes. I had the same thought. By taking out opening exercises, priesthood has become excruciatingly long. Still better than three hour church, though! I have to admit, I actually felt a little unsure about dropping to two hours. I mean yeah I always complained church was too long, but Sunday is for church, and this is what we do as Mormons, and I wasn't sure if I might not miss the full three hours. But for me, it's made church more enjoyable, and the one hour home church thing I honestly think is genius. We're doing it, and it's been great.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View Posteither move sac back to 70 minutes or do both SS and PH/RS every week making them 25 minutes each. current SS/PH is too long.

I've been trying to get my husband to do the 1 hour home church on Saturdays. That way, my primary lesson preparation can be cut out as well. Just do home church on Saturday while I am prepping the lesson, and then no need for the home church on Sunday.

Oh yeah. If its 2 hour church and long PH meetings vs the old way, the choice is easy.Originally posted by jay santos View PostI had the same thought.
