I do know know what you mean by this. I'm not trying to challenge-- I'm trying to understand what you are saying. I assume that you want more than the President standing up at General Conference and saying over the pulpit "We accept you as you are!" and nothing else. If the church did what you are proposing what would it be doing different than what it is doing today?

By 7 a.m., mountain bike coach Adam Clark started seeing comments on the team’s Instagram page. Within hours, the posts had hundreds of comments. “I hope he hangs himself,” one of them read.

“They just started going after him, his dates, his friends. Anyone associated with him, so we had at least three kids that stayed home from school, just hiding away out of fear,” Clark said.

Clark himself got calls and texts. “So do you hate all black people, too?” one person asked before hanging up. Another man texted Clark a picture of his genitals.

The phones at Cedar Valley rang all day, shutting down the system and preventing staff from making outside calls. Emails and messages continued to pour in to both the school and district offices on Wednesday.

“How do I decipher school-related emails versus hate-filled messages geared at our school, students and families? It’s going to take some time to wade through,” said Johnson, the school’s principal.

          So dumb.

I was complicit in perpetuating that it was Cedar Valley and not those inbreeders in Cedar City. Sorry.

Mistaking the schools is understandable. All the poor behavior that comes from being a SJW is inexcusable. Then to go after the wrong people compounds the wrong.

            • I hope the incident has spawned instructive lessons in our high schools about the history of blackface, minstrel shows, Jim Crow, etc.

I'm still baffled by the guy that sent the text showing his genitals. Not sure that's an SJW thing.

Three engagements? To three different women?

What does it say about LDS courtship that you can get that far along without it being a problem that one partner is not actually romantically interested in the other?
While there is something to be said about LDS culture and wisdom of these quick engagements, I find that here it's a case of LDS dating culture PLUS this is David Archuleta-- LDS Celebrity, and there would be a lot more opportunity for him to date and get women to agree to be married without much debate. He has a lot more leeway than the average RM dork.

Couldn't they treat married or together Gay people like any other non temple married couple in the church? Or even not go that far. But don't treat them separate from other non married couples

You're an apostate if you're in a gay relationship.

The indictment is the LDS church that pushes and encourages gay people to enter into mixed orientation marriages. I could criticize LDS courtship too, but that is a small part of the problem here.

                                See my first paragraph.

Sorry for not discussing the bigger problem. But then, I didn't see you address anywhere that the sun will someday expand into a red supergiant and extinguish all life on Earth, so maybe we can forgive each other for getting caught up in the little things.
