hoooo BOY can you imagine the Time article about Sundays in your ward w Mitt and Harry taking off the gloves and taking the sacrament together?Originally posted by Applejack View PostHarry's in my ward. He loves the nationals and LOVES Bryce Harper.
Also, Mitt (or Huntsman) would have been in our ward if he hadn't crapped the bed.

I wonder if BamaCoug took Harper out of his fanbase spreadsheet, or does he still count him because he is LDS?Originally posted by Commando View PostI liked him until he talked s#t on BYU. Now I don't like him.

Just saw over on CB where some poster who moved from out of state went to get his recommend in casual attire. Basically everyone else he saw was in Sunday dress. Asked if that was a Utah thing.
I love some of the responses to "there is no dress code" for Temple interviewas. The ones I liked the best was show respect and one does not need to be commanded in all things.
Don't you just love members who pull out the "not commanded in all things" to justify how your behavior should conform to theirs. I call them the sure bet Celestial Kingdom mormons.

Our current Bishop feels like not only should the office - meaning the person holding the calling - of Bishop be respected. But also, the actual office of the Bishop requires respect as well. He won't hold meetings there unless he's wearing Sunday best. He'll meet with people who come dressed casual still. He isn't a jerk about it. But anytime we schedule a meeting - if it's in his office, he asks us to wear a white shirt and tie.Originally posted by byu71 View PostJust saw over on CB where some poster who moved from out of state went to get his recommend in casual attire. Always made me jealous when I would see other Bishoprics meeting in their Bishop's office in the same building in their jeans and polo shirts.

I know a bishop that does casual dress for weekday meetings. Last night most of the bishopric was in shorts and sandals.Originally posted by Eddie View PostOur current Bishop feels like not only should the office - meaning the person holding the calling - of Bishop be respected. I remember being called on the phone to go over to the stake president's house for my mission interview. It was a Sunday, so I just headed over there in my post-church dress-- jeans and a hoodie or something. The interview went well and on my way out he let me know for future reference you should go to interviews in a shirt and tie. C'mon man- how was I supposed to know that? Well, I wasn't going to but now that you bring it up... I'm sorry to report that I've read articles, even a book, about defecation throughout history and it's interesting (to me, anyway) how many different self-cleansing methods have been employed throughout history. I'd list some of them, but since at this point I've lost even my limited readership I'll get back to work.Originally posted by YOhio View PostThey probably didn't have toilet paper. You probably don't have to worry about that. Down to one eye, he probably wouldn't see you.Originally posted by byu71 View PostThat must be tough having him in your ward. I would be in such a quandry if he came up to shake my hand. I am a totally christian loving person, but I would find a way to pretend I didn't see him.
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkI told him he was a goddamn Nazi Stormtrooper.
