  • I interrupted the reading of the ETB manual today to make a comment, afterwards the stake HC guy came up to me and said "You have a way of saying things that would make most people seem like apostates, without sounding like one." I invited him to join CS.

      What did you say?

In other news, the ward has been holding emergency preparedness fair the last two weeks, and no one shows but members of the ward council and their families. The question was posed: is it worth it?

        • I am finding that my motivation to invest time and energy in reactivation efforts is pretty much gone. I feel like those efforts are unwanted and it seems like the "success" stories are very short lived. It probably has a lot to do with the ward's demographic make-up, but tracking down folks who don't want to be found is a losing battle.

            • We had a non-member speak today. Probably a CHOI violation, but he gave an awesome talk.

There's gotta be a backstory there.

It doesn't count if you said it.

Sometime in the last 5~10 years, "crap" became an acceptable word to use in sacrament talks. I heard it about 4 times from the youth speakers today. Along with a passable impression of the stake patriarch.

I once had a bishop that used "BFE" a couple times in meetings....but unfortunately never in sacrament meeting. I don't think he knew what it acronymically stood for.

BFE or BFD? Not sure what the E would stand for with regard to Big Fing E?
