Is there a good way to reheat ribs? I know some bbq places that don't smoke every day and it seems they wrap their ribs and then reheat them. I'm wondering if that would work for a tailgate - smoking them at home the day before and then reheating them the day of the game (I have an oven in my RV).

I also did ribs today, as well as chicken.
John Henry Sugar Maple/KC Masterpiece
Famous Dave's Rib Rub/Sweet Baby Rays (all gluten free!)
Spade L Pork Rub/Raspberry Chipotle sauce
and a new entry into the rub family....
Old World Fire Roasted Chipotle Rub/Famous Dave's Sweet and Zesty.
I was at Casual BBQ picking up some John Henry and the guy recommended Old World. It tasted great. Has a very slight kick but the flavor is nice. If you are in the market for a new spice, check this one out. It allegedly works on chicken and beef, as well. not sure if I would want it on beef, though.
Also, Casual just landed a pretty nice shipment of all sorts of John Henry...pecan, cilantro lime, garlic something or other, sugar maple, a several others. They have a decent little selection of rubs. If you are passing by 39S, stop by and check it out.
And what did you think of the Sweet & Zesty? It was on sale a while back so my wife came home with 5 or 6 bottles of it. I was going to see if World Market had any Cowtown for my first try on the smoker, but maybe I'll just go with the Sweet & Zesty."It's devastating, because we lost to a team that's not even in the Pac-12. Is 220 degrees too hot for the smoke setting? My digitial temp readout is reading about 220 degrees and I just started. Maybe that's just what you get inside a black metal can standing in the sun."It's devastating, because we lost to a team that's not even in the Pac-12. What setting do you have it on? What is the P setting?

Yes. That is too hot. You can smoke at that temp, but you should use your 225 setting for that. Sometimes you want to smoke at 180.Originally posted by Coach McGuirk View PostWhat setting do you have it on? Smoke setting. I just checked it again and it is back down at 180 degrees. Maybe the pellets were still on fire from the initial startup when I first looked at it.Originally posted by Coach McGuirk View PostWhat setting do you have it on? What is the P setting?
I looked up how to check my P setting and was confused until I noticed that there is a small black sticker over the hole where you press for the setting. Mine is set at P-2."It's devastating, because we lost to a team that's not even in the Pac-12. To lose to Utah State is horrible." - John White IV

220 for smoke setting is out of whack. If it settles in at 180 that is okay. you can bump up to P3 and watch it. I have mine on P3 and on smoke it settles in about 165-175. But as JL says, it is too hot, it will still smoke, but when you get done with the JL 1.5-2-.75 method, you will have a dryer more falling off the bone rib, than a last meal quality tug from the bone moist rib.
