    Well?

    Thank you Marsu for the recipe. Since I cannot find a quality nog around this place, I will be making my own. I will make your recipe and return and report.

    I will be waiting for the lil' monkey to post his as well.

    I am interested in making the creamcheese pie. Maybe this weekend.

      I had a Fresh Egg Nog milkshake today from the Cookout in Monroe, North Carolina. It was delicious.

          So, is the homemade variety OK? I'd like to try Marcy's FIL's version, but I wonder. I blame my wife for this hesitancy.

              I don't know why, but I don't like homemade as much as the dairy stuff. Generally, I am a homemade food person, all the way, though.

                I usually make this every weekend during the holiday season. Here's the simple recipe i use.

                * 2 eggs, beaten slightly
                * 1 1/2 cups eggnog
                * 1 1/2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
                * 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
                * 12 slices French bread

                  I liked it a lot. BUt as I mentioned earlier, the dairies use pasteurized eggs eliminating the risk of salmonella. Homemade carries that risk, as the eggs are raw. But it sure is good if you have a good recipe.

                        I stopped and picked up some nog on my way home from work. I now remember why I have laid off the nog for the past couple years. 180 calories in a 4 oz serving? Wow.
