And remember when they discover "Adam and Eve" the black and white stones are with them as well.

I think we'll come to find that there were a ton of easter eggs hidden through the seasons that were blown over because the story moved on.

I know the Adam and Eve question is one they're definitely answering...and soon. I read a couple spoiler sites (although nothing that would totally ruin it for me) and they mentioned that is something they do address in depth. Next week's episode, "Everybody Loves Hugo" is supposed to be awesome. Several sources that have already seen all the episodes (with the exception of the finale episodes) say this one is right up there with Richard Alpert's "Ab Aeterno" episode.

Based on the preview for the Hugo centric episode, we might see Walt this week. Michael makes an appearance so it isn't out of the question that Walt would...although I haven't read the specific show release from ABC.

The Walt ship seems like it's already passed. The actor looks like 20 years older than he did when the show started. They've gone so far away from his story that I don't think it's possible to recover. I'd prefer they not even go there.

Yeah, it's hard to say what the deal is there. It seems like a big enough storyline that they might have to go back to it, but you might be right. Maybe his interaction with Locke/Bentham was enough to put a bow on things.

After watching the episode last night, the flashback sequences between Desmond and Charlie's hand make me think that we're getting into some sort of

"Occurence at Owl Creek Bridge"/"Night Face Up"/"The South" kind of situation.

I also had the distinct thought that this all might be a Quixotic nod to Sancho Panza's "ínsula" that the Duke and Duchess contrive in the 2nd part of the Quijote. If you know the Quijote, you'll know what I'm talking about. I see the island/ínsula as a specific nod to the islanders having to learn how to govern (themselves).

Apparently CNNSI's Mandel is a fan of the show and does a weekly podcast after every episode. Might be worth a listen.

Libby to make an appearance in tomorrow's episode. Cool. I loved her story and character. I hope they don't try to turn it into a Libby-Hugo flash sideways love story. Libby was devious.

Walt was just a vehicle to introduce the Others. He was never intended to be a "candidate."

The writers are in a completely no-win situation with this and they know it. I want them to take that and run with it. They should make the ending completely random and ridiculous. I want the flash sideways crew to randomly run into each other and someone tell them they all have to go back to the island, but the island is now on mars, so they all go there to die.

In ep. 1 of this final season, I'm pretty sure I remember reading that Desmond was wearing a wedding ring on the new Oceanic 815 flight while he was chatting with Jack. Yet, in last night's flash-sideways he didn't even know Penny. That had to have been deliberate right? Were they showing us that the flash-sideways timeline has changed too?

I was listening to podcast that verified this info. The Desmond on the plane was definitely not the Desmond that got off the plane. Wearing ring on the plane, as well as some other subtle differences in dress, hair style, etc. They made a point to make it obvious.

SPIOLERS FROM LAST NIGHT'S EPISODE: "Everybody Loves Hugo"


A Hurley-centric episode last night saw the return of both Michael and Libby and came with some interesting revelations.

I really enjoyed the angle they took in the sideways world with Libby and Hurley, I thought that was a great way to start merging the two worlds, or at the very least, make the 815ers aware of this other existance.

Michael's reapperance also taught us that some of the dead 815 and islanders are stuck on the island and can't "move on." There had been speculation before that both Smokey and Jacob have appeared in the form of the dead, and that may yet still be true, but we know now what the whispers are and that some of the dead are stuck there (perhaps only murderers or those who've done wrong...although that wouldn't completely explain why Horace appeared to John Locke several seasons ago, unless that was Smokey).

Smokey also revealed that in order for him to leave the island, the remaining candidates must also leave with him. That would be Jack, Sawyer, Hurley, Jin or Sun, Sayid? Maybe Kate, although it has been made clear that her name was not on the cave wall, but was on the list in the lighthouse.

Desmond continues to be a fascinating character as he weaves his way through the sideways world trying to reconnect the 815ers with their island experiences. When he and Smokey approached the well I figured he'd be thrown down there. So, it's obvious that he is one of the key factors if not the key factor in keeping Smokey on the island.

...and boom goes the llana-myte.
