  • I signed up for Peacock for the Olympics - and am now hooked on Dowton Abbey repeats. It's been long enough that each episode is a mystery - but knowing the depth of the characters makes it fun.

Seriously, last night I woke up at 3:30 am and couldn't get back to sleep. I fired up an episode of this and was asleep in no time. Not even lying.
Until I read this, I had completely forgotten that I never finished the series. I kept waiting, and waiting for the show t get better, it never did. I have a very vague memory of the commotion the murders caused, but didn't remember any specifics.

Now the Tylenol poisonings. I vividly remember how freaked out everyone was about that. If memory serves then never caught whoever was responsible. If memory serves the FBI had a good idea who did it, but never had enough evidence to prosecute. I would be interested in watching a well done doc on the Tylenol hysteria.

Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

              • The Malice in the Palace documentary is also a good example of why it is better to not stretch out a documentary to 5+ episodes if there isn't content for it. It is just over and hour. It is able to go into decent depth about the event, but doesn't just drag on and on. It left you wanting to know more.

                      • I just watched Squid Game. A Korean kind of Most Dangerous Game type of thing, kind of over the top, but pretty fun.

                          • Got through 3 episodes of Squid Game. What an insane show. Quite disturbing, but I can't stop watching it. No one does intense thrillers like the Koreans.

                            • We just finished Squid Game. Not quite sure what I think about it. It was very original, that is for sure. But incredibly dark.

The english-speaking VIPs made me laugh. Absolutely horrible acting. I see the same thing with english speakers in Japanese movies/series. Seems like they just go out on the street and hire the first american they spot - regardless of any acting skills or experience. Most korean/japanese viewers probably can't tell the difference.

Soooo bad but I'm sure it's a justified cost saver.
