The "did you know this streams on Netflix?" thread
According to my quick calculation, Sally Fields was 19 when Gidget first started airing. So yes, I can say she was always easy on the eyes ever since Gidget!

Se we watched it and I was surprised how much I liked it. I was expecting Hallmark sentimentality, and there was a tad of that, but Field is outstanding and, despite her being nearly 80 and looking the part of an old lady janitor, I found her as attractive as she was in Absence of Malice 45 years ago,..
yeah she was the standout in that movie. And I'll agree with you, she's always been easy on the eyes...
Lawrence Kasdan's Marty, Life is Short is very good and at times deeply touching. Unless Short really bugs you (and I'm aware that's true for a few), you'll finish it wishing you could be his friend. The list of A-List stars who adore and hang out with him is pretty amazing. I don't think I've ever seen Steve Martin get genuinely emotional and teary, but he does when talking about a song he wrote after Short's wife passed away. The Jiminy Glick clips are hilarious, including his interview with Mel Brooks ("What's your big beef with the Nazis?") are hilarious.
Remarkably Bright Creatures is an inoffensive film. I mean it's still solidly in the Hallmark movie genre, but Sally Fields does her best to elevate it. She really does a good job acting in it. If you're a seasoned sentimental softie like PAC sit your spouse down and watch it. That's what happened to me (Mrs. NWC read the book and took pains to tell me this or that character or plot line was better hashed out in the book). The time goes pleasantly by.

We saw that featured on the Netflix home page and Mrs. PAC, having the read the book, is very pumped to watch it. I have no choice but to join her.

Another show you may want to check out is Dept Q. Like a lot of British shows, the first episode spends a lot of time setting things up. I was a little bored, but the end of the episode sucked me in, and I moved on to episode two. I like it.

I think you purposely are trying to make this connection due to my Bromance with Jason and this would set me off. lol
I didn’t know you had a man crush on JB, I promise. But when Chelsea handler (whose mom was an endowed member) on Smartless, JB played like he was way more clueless about the Church than I think he really was.
I am curious how closely Samuel might be related to actor Jason Bateman (whose dad grew up Mormon in Utah). Jason steers pretty clear from his Mormon connections, and I wonder if polygamist 2nd cousins could be the reason why.
