      • It isn't that I don't like Cohen Brother movies....it's just that I don't get them. So I don't find them enjoyable. And that is okay.

I did like the Oh Brother Where Art Though soundtrack though.

So, for you, watching Coen Bro movies puts you in a state of constant sorrow?

            • Abducted in Plain Sight, three letters come to mind: WTF. It involves the most bizarre pedofile kidnapping story you’ll ever see. The victim’s family and perpetrator were lds, the father is obviously gay and the man who eventually abducted their daughter had sexual encounters with both parents prior to the abduction. If that sounds bizarre, that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

I know you don't believe in bisexuality, which is an absurd position to take, but there is a possibility that the father is bisexual.

He's a closeted homosexual. Yes, I don't believe there are really male bisexuals who truly switch back and forth. That's not to say some heterosexual men don't engage in gay sex in certain extreme situations -- like in prison. But bisexual means that your preference for one sex or the other is evenly split, or close to it

Honestly, has anyone known a dude -- other than prisoners-- who starts dating dudes and decides "what the hell, I'll go back to women for a little while?" Time and again we hear of guys like Lance Bass and Elton John who have relationships with women and then start hanging with men, and they never go back to women. They were closeted gay men.

I have known several men and women that have had relationships with both sexes and switched a few times but most of the people I personally know are stable enough to not be changing relationships very frequently but when they were dating they would date both men and women without an apparent preference.

Same here, except all the guys were prisoners, so I guess they don't count.

I will say that with the men that I have known who were bisexual it was often the people who were willing to date them that influenced who they eventually ended up with. Gay men tended to much more accommodating to the bisexual men that I know than straight women. Bisexual people of both sexes were fine with dating a bisexual man but straight women were usually not; thus the pool of eligible partners for a bisexual male were skewed toward male outcomes.

Good info. Now that I think of it, I'm not sure I know any bisexuals.

I was waiting for this moron to jump on the bandwagon, the first time he actually takes a semi-controversial position will be the first. You do know there has been research performed on this?

                              https://www.researchgate.net/publica...f_bisexual_men

"Our first analyses examined whether men who report bisexual feelings have a bisexual arousal pattern. Men with strong bi-sexual arousal need not have precisely the same degree of arousalto both male and female stimuli. However, on average, their arousal to both male and female stimuli should be substantial.Furthermore, their arousal to male stimuli should exceed that of heterosexual men, and their arousal to female stimuli shouldexceed that of homosexual men. The hypothesis that bisexual men have bisexual arousal patterns thus implies a negative quadratic relation between self-reported sexual-attractionscore (Kinsey score) and sexual arousal to the less arousing sex...

Figure 1b shows that the predicted curvilinear relation did not occur for genital arousal. The quadratic model was nonsignificant, p5.68, b5.05, DR25.00. In contrast, bisexual men’ss ubjective arousal did show the predicted curvilinearity; the negative quadratic relation was significant, p<.0001, b5.56,DR25.29 (Fig. 1c). Thus, we found no indication of a distinctly bisexual pattern of genital sexual arousal among bisexual men, although they did report a distinctly bisexual pattern of subjective sexual arousal."
Translation for the dummies out there -- while there are a number of men that try to identify as bisexual, their actual response to male or female images indicates that most of them are homosexual or, rarely, actually heterosexual.

That really is a dumb translation of their findings. And a dumb highlight of what really matters:

although they did report a distinctly bisexual pattern of subjective sexual arousal.
Yeah, subjective sexual arousal has nothing to do with human sexuality.
