No one is addressing the elephant in the room. Pixar is done.
    12. Cars 2 ... absolute trash
    13. Brave ... skipped
    14. Monsters U ... derivative crap / skipped
    15. Inside Out ... original and delightful, like the early Pixar stuff
    16. The Good Dinosaur ... garbage
    17. Finding Dory ... derivative / skipped
    18. Cars 3 ... really? / skipped
    19. Coco ... forgettable

    Next up?
    20. Incredibles 2 ... will skip out of respect for original Incredibles, the finest film Pixar has made
    21. Toy Story 4 ... jfc! will skip
Ratatouille is my favorite, Incredibles is my second. Both were directed by Brad Bird who is also directing Incredibles 2.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

You'll love Coco, it's the same story as Ratatouille.

Did the kid finally play in that town square talent show? Can't remember. Like I said, the film is very forgettable. But the astute critic could not miss the parallels between the rat chef film.

You mean that peripheral arc in the second act? I don't doubt you don't remember since it sounds like you may have fallen asleep.

I don't think so. That event would be more like the rat fixing the soup.

                  Lady Bird

A modern, edgy coming-of-age story with a high school senior who names herself Lad Bird. She's grown up in Sacramento, and dying to leave for the east coast. She's literally from the wrong side of the tracks, but has enough personality to keep you interested.

Well acted from the unknown actress and her mother does a fantastic job as well.
"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

My kids loved Coco and since it was intended for them and not 50 year old ass-hat, douche bags from the Northwest, I think they hit the mark.

Yet, a lot of douche bags I know (here and elsewhere) thought Coco was abfab. Pixar is directionless.

What BYU sports has brought together, do not let Pixar divide asunder.

This is one of my favorite threads, unless we're debating Pixar. Then it's insufferable.

"Three Billboards Outside of Ebbing, Mississippi". Some really good unresolved angst and acting. McDormand is typical McDormand. Rockwell is good, and Harrelson isn't bad either. A little long, but I didn't fall asleep. A 'B' for me.
