I haven't seen jackie brown, but my QT ranking would be.

      1) Pulp
      2) Django
      3) Kill Bill 1
      4) Inglorious
      5) Reservior Dogs--- Its been a long time since I've seen this. It may be significantly better or worse than I recall
      6) Kill Bill 2
      7) Hateful
      8) Jackie Brown--- saw a trailer for it once. It didnt seem that interesting.

Pretty good ranking. I'd jump Res Dogs higher, drop Hateful, and if True Romance counts, then I'd put that pretty high.

AN Icelandic film about two bachelor brother sheep farmers in Iceland who live next to each other but who do not speak and appear to hate each other. Through a series of events their mutual antipathy is put to the test.

It is not an exciting film. It is all about mood and scenery and character. But I really liked it, even if the ending is a little frustrating. The actors were so believable that I kept thinking these guys must be the real deal who just agreed to be filmed doing what they do.

If you like little foreign films, this is a good one. It's on Netflix.
          PLesa excuse the tpyos.

Jackie Brown might be the best QT movie behind Pulp Fiction- one of his more mature and measured efforts w the great QT dialogue. Plus the invisibler guy from Breaking Bad is the protagonist and he's great.

Only movie I watched on this list was RD. Didn't care for it at all. Watched part of Pulp Fiction. Just wasn't into it.

QT is not my type of film maker.

Based upon Commando's recommendation watched JB. I enjoyed it. Other than the music, the ubiquitous Sam Jackson, and the frequency of n-bombs I would have never known it was a QT film. It was one of Deniro's more muted performances. Bridget Fonda. Wow! If she had looked like that in Single White Female, JJL's crazy obsession might have made more sense. Jackie was less of a slow burn than Tarantino's recent offerings, and a slightly more predictable outcome. I'm glad I watched it, and reordered my ranking.

QT's one true "black film" if there was such a thing. A great turn by Chris Tucker and one of Sam Jackson's more menacing performances. Pam Grier is as foxy as ever and I had forgotten (!) DeNiro was in it.

                      • I'm waiting a couple weeks to watch Rogue One. I'm also keeping low expectations for the film.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

It's IMDB 8.3 right now. The last one was above 9 IMDB at this point, IIRC, when mostly only super fans have voted. The last one was meh, so this one is probably going to suck. It's another Star Wars film with a Death Star plot. God just shoot me now.

Scarcity is a virtue sometimes, but it doesn't necessarily lead to more money, most of the time it doesn't. Disney is going to release a Star Wars movie every year for the foreseeable future until it starts making financial sense have fewer releases.

They're coming out with a f***ing Boba Fett movie in 2020. Who are all these people that give a shit about Bobo Fett? He's an afterthought in the original trilogy and gets unceremoniously eaten by the butthole in the ground with teeth. Yet, Lucas feels there are enough fanboys of Boba Fett to include his origin story in the prequels and have his father be the template for the clones.

I know jack shit about Star Wars, but even I know Boba Fett has been a cult favorite since the original trilogy played out. In other words, the recent Boba Fett developments weren't because Lucas was doing something he hoped would create interest, they were because he was responding to a prior interest.

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

That's why I asked the question -- who are all these people that are jonesing for a Boba Fett movie and what did he do in the original movies that caused these people to express any interest at all in him? He has to be the most overrated movie character of all time. What does he have, two lines in the Empire Strikes Back? I believe he has no lines in in Return of the Jedi before he gets swallowed by the giant anus.

I'm not kidding when I say I'd be more interested in a Jabba the Hut prequel movie.
