  • I saw Total Recall yesterday

I really don't get all the hate about this movie! I thought they did a great job, with a couple of clever nods to the original.

Not nearly as bloody as the original version featuring Ahnold, but it doesn't suffer because of it. Sharon Stone's character takes more of a front seat role, thankfully (I. Love. Kate Beckinsale). Fun times.

    • I made the mistake of thinking 'The Bourne Legacy' was going to be OK, if not as good as the previous 3. Even waiting a couple of weeks after its opening, and watching a late show on a whim, I was still pretty disappointed. How did Jeremy Renner not make me care a whit what happened to him? I thought he was a pretty good actor.

Same thing happened to me. And he has no chemistry with the woman. I guess that for Renner, The Hurt Locker hit upon the type of character that brings out his acting skilz.

Validation! I fought pretty hard against seeing TBL3 on a recent guys trip,

Good point. I didn't care about him either. I found the movie somewhat entertaining, but that last chase scene could have been 20 minutes shorter.

I wanted to see this movie but my wife made me go to 2016: Obama's America (which has an entertainment value of 0). I guess we should of just stayed home and found something on TV to watch.

              • I watched Confessions of a Superhero on Netflix last night whilst folding laundry. I think this could have been such an entertaining documentary, it fell a bit flat. I wouldn't reccommend.

                • Wifey and I started watching Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close last night. We made it about 15 minutes turning it off. I was more intrigued than she was and I'm open to finishing it. Is it worth resuming?

I'm not sure what the point was, but it was a pretty suspenseful, delightfully violent, and entertaining period piece about Prohibition (based on a book that was based on a true story- you know the drill). I'm starting to like this Tom Hardy guy.
Tom Hardy was really good in this. Actually, I thought the acting was pretty good all-around, except for Guy Pearce and his over-the-top villain. And I guess the movie was alright. It was pretty slow though. And I didn't get attached to any of the characters enough for the ending to do what it was supposed to do to me. But it was a solid 'B'.

Renner was awesome in The Town, too.

A cool little funny indie movie about comedian Mike Birbiglia's sleep disorder/relationship disorder. Semi-autobiographical, I'm assuming, and a good time at the movies. It's NR but it's about a middle of the road PG-13 content-wise. Definitely my style of humor, though.
I saw this on Saturday. My 8 year old daughter asked me before the wife and I went. "Can I go see the fart movie too?" After some confused looks she said "you know artsy-fartsy"?

Movie was enternaing and funny Mike Birbiglia has this dry humor that can be hit or miss. Also had dinner @ vinsetta garage

So I went to a trendy restraraunt then to an indie movie. I guess all I needed was a turtleneck to complete my hipster trifecta.
