And Lydia. I don't think that Todd's infatuation has been resolved.

The reason I don't like it is because Jack was loading his gun, ON HIS WAY to kill Jesse, but slowed and talked out of it by Todd- who only succeeded in buying another cook or two. I really think he would be shot on sight trying to escape. Like Jack says- they are already set up nice with Walt's fortune. Why would they go murder a civilian to keep their cook cooking (something that only Todd cares about apparently) and endanger everything?

      • The last episode of BB is titled "Felina". Fe (Iron) Li (Lithium) Na (Sodium), Or, Blood, Meth and Tears. It's also an anagram for "finale."
Are you kidding me? The writers of this show are just the best.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I noticed this morning that Homeland won the Emmy for Best Writing over BB. That is unbelievable.

Yeah I was watching that. Total horseshit.

Anna Gunna also looked crazy skinny at the Emmy's.

Meh- realize that was season 4. Next year should be a clean sweep or it'll be a travesty.

Homeland and BB are in different universes, regardless of the season.

                  • Whitlock slays a CS sacred cow:

There's no accountability. Gilligan can throw multiple interceptions, but he's a gunslinger having fun out there. Last Sunday's episode played out like many before it, like a bad "Die Hard" movie. Walt's Nazi friends killed two DEA agents, dug up seven barrels of cash in the desert, passed on immediately killing Jesse for a flimsy reason, tortured Jesse, tossed him in a dungeon and then chained him in a meth cooking lab with a picture of the woman and child he loves hanging above his head. The Nazis did all of this in three to five hours (based on Marie telling Skylar that Hank called her three hours ago with Walt in custody). These same Nazis also confiscated $70 million from Walt and passed on killing him or leaving town because they plan on cooking more meth. A half-dozen skinheads have $70 million to split, what's the motivation to continue cooking meth?

The show doesn't have to make sense. That's why Walt kidnapped his infant child, went on the run from the police, the DEA and the FBI in a beat-up truck, returned his infant child to a fire station and the next day waited in broad daylight with a barrel of cash for a van to pick him up and carry him to a new life and identity.

                      I don't either.

Felina is also (I am told) the Spanish equivalent of feline. In this season we've been talking about dogs a lot (stray dog, rabid dog, problem dog, Ol Yeller, etc.) and now we have a cat. I think the rabid dog chases down the cat. In fact, I think several rabid dogs chase down the cat (Marie, Skylar?)

                      My predictions are as follows:

                      - Todd goes all Lennie Small on Lydia. Ricin no longer needed.
                      - Walt attacks the Aryans, inadvertently saving Jesse. Hence the M60.
                      - Jesse goes apeshit after Walt.
                      - DEA is in hot pursuit. Shoot out ensues.
                      - Jesse kills Walt with a bullet to the head, only to be gunned down by the DEA himself moments thereafter.
                      - Flynn lives. Because if he doesn't there is no justice.

I don't know that it's chemistry on that one. Just the fact that lithium gets you high. But I don't know anything about chemistry either.

Cool thought, but it seems like a real stretch.

Lithium is the most commonly used metal in the manufacture of meth.

Ooh, good catch! As memory serves, that's a ballad about a gunfight in El Paso in which a young cowboy dies, no?
